Black rims, eh. Interesting. How do they do battling brake dust? And by the way (a stupid question) why do the front wheels on any car always take on more dust than the rear wheels?

The front brakes produce more dust because the front brakes take on the greatest percentage of the braking load. Get some ceramic brake pads and your brake dust issues will be a thing of the past. Akebono and Rotex Gold are both great choices for ceramic pads for our cars.

Majority of the stopping done by the brakes is handled by the front brakes. This is also why the front brakes are almost always larger than the rear brakes.

Andrew, is that black chrome?

No to the black, no to the red, and no to the black side wall finish. It looks like the rims were done with the same treatment as the side walls.
NO!

These wheels would look great with a couple of minor modifications:

1. Bead blasted
2. self etching primer
3. light sanding
4. primer
5. light sanding
6. Duplicolor silver wheel paint
7. Duplicolor clear coat.

Other than that.......... NICE!

I did the same thing... kinda...

Actually I painted the inside of my rims flat black, keeping the outside factory silver.
