What I was implying, (even though they were "Hemi" fast from the factory) very few were left stock, such as your co-workers.
Fortunately most drag strips don't have curves, but the FBI still purchased a few dozen of them.

Having owned an 87 GN, I can say that if it is truly stock, it should be a good race.
But, I doubt many people would be able to just look at one and know if it is stock or not.
If it is modified, than it could be anywhere from a 13.50 car to a 10.50 car. I doubt serioulsy that he runs 9's in the quarter. That takes some doing.
His weakness is that he has to build boost before launching to run fast. If you can somehow have the starter stage you first, then start the race as soon as he stages, then you will have an advantage until his boost spools up.
They usually (but not always) make more torque than hp. So if he builds boost, and has sticky tires so that he can leave hard, just hope you have a strong enough top end charge to catch him or it's gonna be over.
