But I'm going to say this anyway...I'm not totally thrilled with the looks of the front end of our cars...I mean, the tail end - awesome - love the meaty "hips" , the pipes, the diffuser, the hatch and foil....the sides - awesome - love the shape of the fastback, the cross lines, the strakes....but the front...maybe it's even juts the grille, the lights are okay....I don't know. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone do some front end modding to make it match the sportiness of the rest?

The "Brand" was the Chrysler Pacifica, Sebring line. So we got the suberbanite front grill to bring our mongrel mutt into the family.
Imagine if Fabio married a Kennedy girl, they'd nueter his hair. Think of it that way.

BTW; I could have gone political and used the Repulican Terminator who got turned into a wimpering liberal. But I chose not to make this a political thing.
So,, nevermind!

That's probably why so many have replaced their grill. Personally I haven't seen a replacement grill I liked better than the OEM with the exception of the chrome overlays. I think we would all like the fronts much better if Chrysler kept it only on Crossfires and not repeated it on other cars.
Re: You're gonna hurt me...
I agree on this. IMO its the elongated front and the indented lines running down the hood. it takes the sporty feel out of it in an attempt to venture towards a certain "classy" feel. im not going to so if i like it or not because i love the car, but i will say its my least favorite section.

The Chrysler execs, like your ex-BFF ex-body builder had to face reality, go under the big tent and make the big compromise.
Personally I like the retro look with the lines. I only wish a vertical billet grille (like the Chrysler Airflow) was available. Or even some vertical slats you could put over the OEM grille.

Yeah, I forgot to say that I do love my baby and I agree - it was some sort of compromise/ attempt to "classify" that must have caused that front look. I sort of like the lines on the hood but...yeah, it needs to look meaner and leaner...good call, too, on how repeating it on the other cars takes a little bite out of it, too

Eric Stoddard has commented that in a generation II crossfire, He would have wanted to go for a more "muscular " look. I would agree. Check out his comments by going to his profile listed under "Creator."

A more musculr look would have likely given this model a more distinct presence and possibkly improved it's image in the press. I think the vanilla front end gave the critics a bad first impression of the car.
That said, I'm fine with the looks of the car overall. damm happy with it's performance and ectatic everytime it surprises an over confident opponent on the street.
Besides, they never get to see anything but the back end anyway.

Personally, I like the front end of the car. I remember the 1st night I brought her home and had the parking lights on in the dark garage, looking at the front of the car from the driveway I thought she looked mean and aggressive. And while I'm at it- I like the lines on the hood as well!
