Worried About Lack Of Future Parts - May Sell My '04
Don't get me wrong...I love my 04 white Crossfire coupe. My brother sells used cars and he told me yesterday that his friend that has a Crossfire is in dire need of a front bumper since he wrecked it. The dealership told him he would have to wait a year to get a repacement!! He wished he would have sold it if he had known there would be this heartache over getting body parts.
Now, I'm worried. The fear of the unknown parts issue really has me looking around for something worthy to trade to. I hate this because it's the first car that I really love. I can't afford to put it up and get another car to drive everyday. I will need to sell and get something different.
What are you going to do if you wreck your car and can't get parts?? This is freaky!

A Crossfire engine or transmission gasket would be no problem, they just get it from a Merc dealer. No problem.

I wouldnt let the idea of scarce parts cloud your mind. Used parts is the way to go. However, while I have always been a safe driver, I do find myself being EXTRA cautious negotiating parking lots and backing out etc. Finding parts is just not a headache I want any part of.
