Al,
If you had followed that side skirt thread you would have been outraged with the actions Dan was involved with.
It was a disgrace to say the least and I'm not exaggerating when I say this.
He's a criminal in most peoples minds.
His actions of deception and misrepresentation were beyond belief and there will never be a place for him back here.
I feel this strongly and I didn't even lose any money as a result of his royal scam !!!
I would caution anyone from buying any product from any website he is running

Ok well it was Dan Root's site. I was not on here when he was a member. Emailed him and talked to him on the phone. I ordered the new emblems, a strip that goes under the vents on the dash that says "Crossfire", and 2 badges for the side of the car that say "Powered By Mercedes Benz". Can't wait to get them!

I guess old Dan still "monitors" the forum because he pulled his "Jib/Jab" Christmas Card that had a photo of his face on one of the elfs.
Or maybe he just took it down since Christmas was 3 weeks ago.LOL

I hope Dan is reading this....

I guess it really stings when you have to be an outsider looking in!

Mike all I/we can say is be careful. The "skirt" issue generated a thread with almost 1000 posts for I think 20 side skirts that were ordered. Huge problems with that one!

Oh, and on the Eyelids, they were actually metal strips I got, with 3m tape on the back and a protective clear wrap on the front you peel off. So they not just decals. I would post some pics of them, but we all know about that!

I can't believe anyone would do business with a crook, and then want him back on here...can't believe it...bring his *** back here....he's the biggest internet crook I have ever dealt with...if he wasn't stealing other vendor's products, or copying, selling junk, and then outright misrepresenting himself...which is fraud....ebay let the guy skate with a warning supposedly....I would love him back on here...I would love for him to be in driving distance actually....that would be even better....and Dan....I mentioned your name and business to a couple of friends I have nearby in CA...they may take a look to make sure you are claiming the income you get for your crooked dealings...so you keep trolling pal....we would love to have you back.....

Ok, Mikenewb and 2005crossfire6speed, the point is not weather he is nice to you or if you received the merchandise as expected from him. The point is.... He stole thousands of dollars from members of this forum. To support any venture he is involved with is a slap in the face to the members he has ripped off. I was not around when this happened, but I took the time to read about it when I first became a member. I would not take a free gift from this ******* just from principle alone. So, if you feel the need to purchase from him, that is your prerogative. Just don't expect to get any positive response from anyone here that knows what he has done to the good, trusting, long term members here. Nuf said.

Well said .....by far he is the largest scammer that has ever been connected to this website in it's history.
He was banned from this forum for not following the simple rules set by the site owner here regarding selling his products.
Then he tried other sneaky ways of coming back using new screen names but was identified and shut out.
He eventually went away and set up his own website to sell his stuff.
Even if he's being "nice guy" it's only because he wants you money for some of his bull$hit products.
He's a back stabbing thief who uses other aliases to fool honest people here into doing business with him.
He knew if he identified himself as "Dan Root" that he would be cut off immediately from any business with anyone here who knew him.
I really think everyone who has not read this particular thread (side skirts) should do so starting with post #506.....
but if time is limited just read THIS POST...it recaps the entire scam in detail.
Yes it is a long read but WILL change your mind about this guy.
See what a nice guy Dan Root really is.

Here is a list of folks here who thought they were buying a good product from a reputable seller....well the seller was reputable but the middle man was Dan Root and in the end all these people got ripped off for a lot of $$$.
Only a small amount was ever collected to be refunded to these people.
As you can see I'm not on the list and lost no money here but I still want to get the message out loud and clear here for those of you who might not been around when this guy was ripping people off.

Nuff said

After reading even more about him, wow, i wouldn't take anything for free from that guy just for screwing this community. I hope other members will think this way and put an embargo on his business.

LOL, sorry guys! I seemed to have open a old wound! I wouldnt have bought anything if I had done my research.. Now everyone cross your legs close your eyes, put take a deep breath and say AAAAMMMMMMMMMM! I find a little humor sometimes breaks up the anger. I am truly sorry for anyone that has been ripped off. I have before over the internet, and its a frustrating feeling unlike buying from a local guy where you can go to the place and beat the crap outta him! Where have the good ol days gone? Now lets get angry about not being able to post pics! I got a whole bunch of Christmas pics that just gone to waste! Ha!

You can still post pics. There has not been a single day yet that you cannot post pics. You just need to open a Photobucket account or any of the hundreds of other free photo hosting sites. Once you upload your pics to one of these sites you can post your pics on here just as easy as if they were uploaded on this site. Does it really matter to you if you upload your pictures to crossfireforum.org, or photobucket.com. It serves the same purpose.

Now, the fact that this site is broken is another story, and there are plenty of other threads to discuss that. Don't let the problems of this site prevent you from sharing photos though.

LOL they didnt show up here! I guess what your talking about is just putting the url in a thread where members can go to on photobucket and view them?

And just paste the code into the area you type. no need to select the image icon as the tags are already in the code you copy.

just to let you know, I am not mad at anyone who likes Dan Root, that is your business, but, my brothers in blue will put me in jail for what I will do this con man...and that is what he is...buy if you like, but I don't like people who pose to be someone they aren't, even if they think it is a joke like some others on here. If can't be honest, then go somewhere else, there's enough false and fictiscious crap on the internet as it is without having to endure it here...it is hard enough to develop trust among friends...and if friends, there isn't a reason to lie about who you are...or BS people just to get your jollies off...there's something wrong with people that think like that...I see a lot of those personalities in the county jail...they didn't mean too...I was just joking...he took it wrong....BS...they know exactly what they are doing...done...
