Well, I have been around here for 6 months and over 1300 posts, and they have my respect. You fly in here and (as someone else said) assume you are in an AOL chatroom.

We are a group of friends here, friends with a like mindset. Stogey's comments could just as well have been taken to mean that you are SO into performance that the XF is just not the car for you. In fact, that is what I read into his post, not that he was trying to tear you down.

Ok, i tried to let this thread go but i guess some of you won't. Stogey has no business telling me that BS! Period! if him or somebody else wants go give me or others trouble, then don't get all your feelings hurt when we respond to the ignorance! this thread was about me not liking the rear end of our cars and stogey came out of the closet and threw that BS which i did not appreciate and still don't! if it was a joke or if it was from a friend, then i would laugh and move on. and what's up with this AOL chatroom thing? if people fight in AOL chatroom's then your friend must be a long time AOL chatroom rat because he is the one started all this. Next time, i hope he watches what he says to people he doesn't know. Or maybe he thought his awesome post count and his "time" on this forum gave right to give crap to a newbie out of nowhere.

I like performance and i am well aware of what a crossfire is capable of. I have yet to bring my car to 6k RPM and go through even 2 gears so i can safely say that i didnt buy this car to race it. However, I am not gonna drive it like some on the highway driving 10 under. I can't believe so many people got their feelings hurt because i said that i did not like that our cars came without LSD. I am still standing behind that!

Can we get this thread moved to politics section please? Thanks!

Muscle.... there was nothing wrong with what Stogey said. If you get all offended by his innocent comment then you better prepare yourself for a lot of problems in this forum. I know a little about Stogey and I will tell you he is a great guy that meant no harm (like most people here). So if you get your chops busted once in a while you better find a way to get used to it otherwise you will be fighting with everyone here.

If Stogey said that to me I would just laugh and shrug my shoulders. Hopefully, the next time someone says something like that again you will do the same.

just hang in there kid....german engineers like things to be smooth, unlike our muscle cars, so they control everything with sensors. They don't want the car to spin its wheels. Limited slips, posi tracs, will certainly help those a few tenths, when drag racing, but will do little for any other driving you will do. Not sure what you were trying to do, but I completely turned mine around one day while playing around with the traction control off, and I don't believe in pulling any fuses. I use to help with EVOC classes at the police academy yrs back, so I love to throw a car around, and mine is fun, but you just have to get used to it...it will do what you want it to do without posi trac...I am going to put a unit in the coupe I just bought in the future to race it, but I will leave the roadster stock. As you can tell, we are getting a huge age gap with many new owners being in their twenties, and even teens. Some of us old guys have opinions that might not set too well with the younger generation. I have twin sons your age, and another son 23...we have some fun from time to time discussing cars, what they can or cannot do as well...just hang in there and have fun with it....you won't change our old minds, cause at our age, we just take each day in stride...really doesn't matter what people think of us...we may be gone tomorrow...have fun, hang in there...let's start a new thread....how to hole shot with both tire spinning

Ok, I apoligize (on my part) if i offended anybody here, I am just another crossfire enthusiast and here to learn more about my car and maybe help others within my limited knowledge.

I just found somebody telling me that i bought the wrong car right after i went through a lot of stuff, drove 4 hours each way (bunch of fights with my gfriend who did not want me to invest in a 2 seater) and wanted one of these for 5 years rude. I love my car just like you guys do and my car has its pros and cons just like any other car.

Have a nice day!

I have two pieces of property with at least five mountain passes between them. One of these days I am going to hit snow and wish I had an LSD. All season tires or not. Why did my eyes just dilate? Must be thinking of that fine drive. Yeh thats it........

well, she won't slip with traction control on...and having driven my vettes in the winter, the posi makes for having fun... but not for making me go straight ahead...sometimes posi can cause problems...sensors keep the wheels from spinning, but won't help you not get stuck...so, both have their own charactoristics...I would have liked the car to have come with posi, but I also know how the germain engineering likes everything to be smooth...I would prefer wot, but it still reduces to a 60% throttle when shifting, even though your foot is to the floor...dang puters....lol

This whole thread reminds me of a discussion my dad and I once had over the phone. Neither one of us was right or wrong but we got under each others skin to the point the conversation turned very abrasive so I hung up the phone and that was the end of it. I was mad, he was mad, but we weren't yelling at each other and we forgot about it shortly there after. I think everyone just needs to "hang up" this "phone call".

BTW, I hear they are doing a half off sale on women swimsuits at PacSun. Your choice, tops or bottoms. LOL

I got caught in a snow storm in Yellow Stone in my 90 vette I can't say I went very straight, but with both back tires spinning it kept going and got me out of the park. I got a lot of funny looks from a lot of stuck people.

I'm with "Doc" on this one. After driving thru 43 North East Ohio winters, I'll save the LSD equiped vehicles for summer driving.
But in a car as short and light as the Crossfire, it does create a great "donut" maker.

Hey, I would not dream of disagreeing with Doc. I was just pointing out my experience with posi in the snow. So far I have not had to drive the Crossfire in the snow, so I really do not know what its like. Not looking forward to finding out either. If the traction control works better than an LSD great, I have traction control and can't afford an LSD conversion.

ive been a member here for ova a year, and these are my thoughts on this forum, this forum is very informative and the people here do have a good sense of humor and this place is very exclusive, i mean you dont have to have a crossfire to join but it helps. it seems like everyone here hangs out on a daily base so i can see if there was any type of confrontation it would be solved in the same manner as a gang would. personally speaking i wish there were more parts available for the crossfire but the fact of the matter is that there probably wont be, acceptance is only half the battle. i like to stir things up once in a while to keep everyone sharp and on their toes. expect a random question in the near future gang.

have a nice day!

Alright, Here is what you need and it's only $500. Phantom Grip

While it says it's for the SRT and makes no mention of the NA, I think this is your ticket. Woody has one on his car and says it's the cats azz.
