2.29 seconds 60' time
2.29 seconds 60' time
Okay, so this is with the "dynolicious" software on my Ipod Touch, and was my best 60' time out of 4 runs, the others were all in the 2.3x range. Anyone use "dynolicious" and know if the 60' time is accurate? That seems awfully poor from what I've seen around, and I didn't really even spin much at all, just a brief squeak. I had it in 1st gear, traction control off, about 1300 rpms, etc. It was on relatively new Continental tires (yeah, I know everyone seems to think they suck but they were new on the car when I got it not long ago), in the middle of a highway that looks flat but who knows. I did a few 1/4 runs (all starting from about the same spot), and they were all about the same.
I was pleased with the 0-60 time: 4.88 seconds; does that jive with the 60' time? It said that 1/4 mile was 13.18@109.9 mph.
The only mod I have on the car is the NW dual CAI, and like I said I can't guarantee the road was perfectly flat so the 1/4 time doesn't really mean anything. I'm mainly going to use this as a comparison since there's no dyno or 1/4 track in town. I still haven't put on my code3 pulley yet (also waiting on the Rev attachment to get before/after boost readings, etc.).
60' 2.29sec@31.4mph
330' 5.78sec@66.5mph
1/8 mile 8.66sec@84.6mph
1000' 11.12sec@101.4mph
1/4 mile 13.18sec@109.9mph

Re: 2.29 seconds 60' time
Bill,
The only thing I can see to use as a gauge would be your 1/4mile MPH. The 109.9mph (if 100% accurate) is good for a 12.6ish run I would guess...So I would say its generally off a bit.
I have DynoStorm (dynolicious for BB) but haven't gotten the chance to test it at the track yet...maybe I'll do that in a couple weeks.

Re: 2.29 seconds 60' time
so is there any comparison between average track prep and a decent highway, as far as ability to launch?
1/2 second isn't that long in real time, so who knows, I may have spun for 1/2 second or so
I saw a video that compared dynolicious to their track runs and the 60' time was within a few hundredths

hell I go sideway even if I dont stage the car on teh street and just mash the pedal...so in short, yes, track prep is huge...

a well prepped track will in fact help your launch a great deal.

Re: 2.29 seconds 60' time
This was around midnight, so it was probably 45 degrees maybe. I guess for now I'll assume it was a combination of cold weather and all-season street tires on the street that limited my 60' time, instead of just not being able to drive ... until proven otherwise at the track at least
