Question navigation disks up to date?

Have an 07 oyster gold coupe. Guess we are electronically challenged.....and don't the navigation much. Anyway, wouldn't the disks be out of date for much travel considering how fast roads, routes change? Do they somehow update themselves?

Thanks!

This has been discussed over and over again.

Sadly, we are out of luck - what you have are disks produced in 2003 or 4, and that's it. A few guys here are working at TRYING to come up with updates, but just last week there was a thread here that made it clear: So far, nothing new is available. This is one of the problems with driving what has become an "orphan child" of a car.

But not all hope is lost, several members here seem to make it their life's work to do with these cars things that MB/Chrysler never intended! Stay tuned for further developments.

If we can just get Chrysler to change their contract with Becker. They are willing to provide upgrades, but Chrysler has it's code protected.

Maybe something CICCI can to lobby with Chrysler to allow them to do it.

Buy a Garmin or a Tom Tom for $139. The screen is better, it'll be cheaper than the discs and you can take it from car to car. And yes, I have the nav radio in my car too.

Ditto on the Garmin. I have the Nav radio in my Grand Caravan, and they want as much as a new Garmin for an updated disk.
