Hmm think the black may just edge it in terms of best colour. Yes we do say 'colour' and not 'color' over here.

Yellow, Yellow, Yellow - you said it wouldn't go over well on a rainy UK day, but that is when it is the BEST!! You come out of work all sad because it is raining AGAIN, thinking that you will go home to your flat for tea & scones but then you see your own ray of sunshine!! These cars lift your spirit & the yellow ones are the best at it. Of course not everyone is special enough to own a yellow XF. That's why they are the most limited of all the colors (the only color that only came in 1 body style - limited roadster) - they are reserved for the most unique of all XF owners! Taz, Rapps, MsGump, Me ... you get the picture!!

 

Oh, would you just look at how the White one stands out and just gleams!

 

Clean shine black with a lot of chrome is the best.

 

The most outstanding is ABPC . The rest may be the( best) most common.But i do like white and yellow ,red gray. silver black. And the srt6 only came in 4 of these. So i got the Aero Blue Pearl Coat

SSB when combined with the Cedar/ Slate interior is my favorite. But I would like to have one in every color.

Here's my list in order of favorite to least

1. SSB, with Cedar/ Slate
2. Alabaster white, with Cedar/ Slate
3. Aero Blue
4. Black, with Cedar/ Slate
5.Oyster Gold, with Cedar/ Slate
6. Black, with Cedar/ Slate
7. Machine gray, with Cedar/ Slate
8. Graphite, with Cedar / Slate
9. Blaze Red
10. Silver
11. Yellow

 

I still like mine the best - Red with Dark/Medium Gray interiour.

But "Angel" - the White one with "Vanilla" interior was REALLY impressive.

 

There is a Limited Roadster running around my home town that is GOLD! (Or a brownish-Gold)

Is this car factory or did someone paint it? I have NEVER seen one in that color anywhere but here in Griffin.

I did see an Aztec Gold Crossfire in an Ad, or the Chrysler website,but that was it.

Alabaster of course cause we have the best interior with the red black combo!

 

I have black, it looks great when it has just been polished but ten minutes later it looks dusty and after a rain it looks pathetic. In the summer it gets hot inside and you can cook eggs on the roof. Other than that its OK.
My first choice would have been alabaster, followed by graphite and machine grey, black then red, followed by the blues, gold and silver, yellow would have been at the bottom.
I love the black but the work to keep it nice is too much, swirls show up even when you are not looking for them.

 

I don't think there is a "bad" color. My favorite is the Machine Metal Gray. I've only seen one and the amount of flake in that color is amazing. I love them all!

 

The gold is officially named "Oyster" . Quite a few 2008 in that color with cedar and dark slate interior.
IMO exterior color is fine but the combo with cedar is not my cup of tea....

 

I know, but at one time Chrysler had an Aztec Gold roadster on their site.

 

Kim, the yellow is most definately a Florida or California Colour. I guess it would be ok in the meditarean countries of Europe also. People would probably sell their houses if you parked one next door to them on your driveway.

The white does stand out but i've never seen one in the UK, I don't think they come in that colour over here.

 

Wow, tons of yellow haters!

I think the think about the yellow is that it doesn't "go" with the rest of the colors. All the rest of the colors are more neutral or muted. Doesn't mean that they aren't beautiful - they all look great, but the yellow is the only candy colored one & even that's muted. Sometimes I wonder what the XF would look like in some super candy colors like SubLime or GoManGo.

 

I like yellow ,i had a yellow vette. Our company colors are yellow and white ,I am no hater But i think a deeper /brighter yellow would look great.
