Default King of the Road

Had the car nearly two weeks now and it gets better and better. I have done 1200 miles so the car is run in. Boy does it shift , I swear 215BHP is conservative?. The ride is superb. Its like driving a 7 series BMW on the Motorway and a Porsche Boxster on the twisty country roads. The suspension and ride is just so well setup. It is true that on very bad surface B roads its a little jumpy but that represents such a small amount of most peoples driving [ certainly mine ] that it doesn't matter.

The best thing is that I haven't seen a another one on the road and no one else appears to have. In the fast lane on the Motorway people just pull over when I come up behind them. I overtake with them craning their necks as I pass and they immediatly pull back in behind to get a proper look, Its great.

Fitted Ring Ultra Xenon headlamps yesterday and they work really really well. Its a really simple bulb change, you get a much brighter white/blue light and the range is alot better. As this wasn't an option or standard [ poor show DC ] it's well worth it.

I agree in what you have said with the winding country roads bit. But like you I'm mostly on A rods and Motorways.

I don;t know how many near misses I have (in)directly caused by people staring backwards over their shoulder to have an extra glimpse of the car.

I fell like I should charge them the privilege of seeing it

I have been a bit naughty though blasting down the motorway at a ton and a bit and with only 400 Miles on the clock but I just can't help it.

I have also not seen a soul with one yet.

Chris.

Any Auto shop should stock them [ Not halfords though, they only sell their own ]

Or I actually got them from http://www.carstylingdirect.com/acatalog/Bulbs.html
You want the Red packaged ones H7 Ultra Xenons X 2 packs if you are going to change the main beam lamps as well.

The dipped beam bulbs are very easy to change, literally unclip the old bulb and clip the new ones in. A word of warning though, One of the main beam ones is a pig to get out because the washer bottle gets in the way. So My advice would be not to bother as its the dipped Beam that you want the extra light and of course they stay on when you go to main beam anyway.

Know exactly what you mean lord percy , I had a guy hanging out of his car today in an S class Merc, holding up the whole A4 out of London asking me if it was the new Aston Martin??????

I mean its a Great Car but the new DB9 I wish!!
