poor uk review
poor uk review
oh dear, dealer advised that 5th gear were reviewing the xfire tonight......and a poor review, not enough power and feminine handling both the 350z and TT were ranked better, closing words "xfire will have limited uk appeal best suited to US roads with no corners"
and its on top gear next sunday......think i'll make sure i'm in the pub

I can tell you that the U.S. has plenty of winding roads. I took mine, a week ago, on a road trip in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and the car handles Great!!! I know what it means to have a car that handles..... I drove midgets and sprint cars in the 60s and 70s, here in the states (California). I would challenge anyone's references that says this car doesn't handle well. They need to take a long hard look at Road and Track magazine's test drive and the times the car turned on their slolam course. The Crossfire times were right there with the 350Z, Porche Boxter and Z4 BMW. The Crossfire was even a tad better than a couple of them.
not really that concerned just DC should not push it as a sporty roadster if its more GT in character, launch reports coming thick and fast in the UK http://www.carkeys.co.uk/launch/LA000233.htm
I agree this car handles very well and is not all that harsh. I drove road race go karts as a kid having won a few regional championships and I agree that this car is very nimble. It turns in very, very well. I only have a few miles on mine and have not really laid the hammer to her yet, but first impressions are that this car will take all you can throw at it and maybe even a little more.
Lord Percy dont forget the car Tiff was driving on 5th Gear is not a UK spec car, that car has been on a couple of reviews all saying more or less the same thing, the UK car feels very stiff and ok its not a Ferrarri beater but is that why you ordered one? Its a style thing and dont forget the exclusivity
Hey we should all be getting used to the lack lustre reports by now. I didn't expect the review to be great and fully expect Clarkson to rip it to shreads on Top Gear.
I for one would not dream of driving around in a TT nor a Boxster for that matter, sure they may do some of the things better that the Crossfire but as a package and a car to be used every day, its the Crossfire for me. When was the last time you saw a TT or Boxster turn heads!

uk road test
Clarkson is a muppet anyway, if we all listened to him we would all be driving Range Rovers and ’60k BMW sports cars - he is bound to slate it !!. Not 1 of of my customer's that has ordered or is looking to order has been disappointed by the speed, handling or comfort of X fire.
