wanting to say hey new to all this
My name is lance i'm 16 getting to turn 17 i'm from marion north carolina i have an o8 aero blue x fire coupe with right at 6000 miles. Dad bought it for me new had to wait on it to be made in Germany and shipped to the state.I test drove a red one on the local dodge place and fell in love with it but couldn't bring myself to like red (no offense to anyone else) so with the low interest rates and everything dad ordered me one the color i wanted and i was happy have been driving the wheels ever since. Ordered chrome wheels yesterday for it Just wanting to say hey and introduce myself thanks.

Forum believes Karmann stopped making these in 2006/07 and have been shipping inventory ever since. Why don't you post the VIN number (last 6 digits) and the date of manufacture from the driver's door. Don't take offense, we're as ****-retentive about facts as we are about our cars.

Dad bought it for me new had to wait on it to be made in Germany and shipped to the state. I think that is what Stogey was commenting about being fishy. When was the car ordered and when did you receive it, what is the build date? They stopped making Crossfires awhile ago and Chrysler broke up with Daimler also. More than likely the dealership located your car and had it sent from another dealership. How many miles was on it when you got it?

Hate to burst your bubble my young friend, but the fact is that the Crossfire ceased to be produced after December 2007.......And Chrysler quit taking orders sometime the year before !

Welcome to the world of Crossfire, lance. You'll enjoy the car to no end. How did you come to decide on a Crossfire? Hang with this Forum; it's filled with more poop on the vehicle than anywhere else on the web.
Gives us pics of the wheels you'll put on it! Are you sure about sizes, specs and such? Check the site for information and make sure they're correct before you pay for them. What kind of tires are you getting?
Enjoy the new car.
PS: will your dad adopt me?

Re: wanting to say hey new to all this
I would have loved a xfire when i was 16... sadly i had to deal with a 93 2door escort. i cant complain though. that little beast got me through 2 years of high school and alomost all the way through college before repairs just didnt make financial sense. made me really really appreciate the xfire once i picked her up!!! welcome to the forum and enjoy the car!!!
