kill report
kill report
eartlier this week, when i was on my way to work, i was riding in front of an older camaro.when we got to the first light as we entered the city, i got in the other lane to force him to get beside me at the light.the whole time it was red, neither one of us looked at the other one.when it turned green, we both punched it.i jumped in front of the camaro instantly.the road in front of me was a little rough so my traction controll light came on for a second, but it didn't matter cause i had him.i only got up to 90 or so because as we approached the hill a cop came over.we both slammed on the brakes and the cop never new what happened.i slowed down more than he did, and as he passed, he had a big smile on his face and gave me a thumbs up.i rolled down my window to talk to him at the next light, and he was really cool.he yelled out, nice car.i said thanks and told him that was a good run, which it was, cause he stayed in my blind spot till 80.later on i find out that the guy is a cousin of one of my coworkers and it is also my coworkers old car he talks to me about all the time.so he tells me it was a 91 rs with a 305.i couldn't believe it. i also found out when the guy in the camaro told his cousin about it, he said he raced some ritch kid.ha ha, if he only new what a deal i got on the awsome car.
Re: kill report
I cannot believe that you all take your little crossfire’s and race them on the street against some other moron.
Okay now that I have yelled at myself, here's the rest of the story.
This past Saturday I was leaving the parking lot from the golf course to turn left. It is somewhat of a blind spot as the road curves slightly from the left side. I first looked to the right and saw a Corvette, then to the right and so a car was coming. I hit the accelerator knowing I had plenty of room before the Corvette would be in harm's way. After I made the turn I stayed on the accelerator till I got to the light. For some reason I disengaged the traction control. When the light changed I turned right. Just as I suspected, I hear that rumble (distinctive sound of a V-8) pull a next to me. His window was down as was mine. I glanced over toward him, he nodded and he is acceleration hard. Why did I know this was going to happen? He got the jump on me, but just by a mille-second. We were rolling about 10 to 15 mph. I hit the accelerator like I was at the drag strip. Since I was still in the first gear the car accelerated like it was shot off an aircraft carrier. Within a couple of seconds I was passing him with authority.
When we came up to the next light he looked over and said “nice crossfire”. Then he said,” you got something else under the hood”, and I've never seen a crossfire accelerated like that. I do, smiled and said, “it's an SRT”. He said very impressive.
As our conversation finished I looked down on the side behind his front wheel and saw the insignia, Zo6. I got to tell you that I was feeling pretty good for the rest of the day. Even though it was a short little romp I was very proud of my bad *** little SRT6. LOL
I am sure what impressed him other than the fact that I accelerated past his menacing sounding deep throated Zo6 was the sound that supercharger makes with the needwings CAI.
Anyways, that's my story of the 10 seconds of being a bad bad boy still an adolescent.
