Sorry to hear of your misfortune.

Years ago, a friend of mine did the same with a power miter box.

Until the day he passed away, he was known as Miter Mike.

You'll be just fine in a year. I stuck my finger in a electric door planer once. It was an accident. Neatly chopped off the tip of one finger and nail just before the nail bed cutical area. Didn't even hurt bad like you would think because the nerves endings were gone. Got infected, swelled up twice it's normal size, turned black and smelled rotten. After a year of finger whirlpool twice a week to dissovle away dead flesh with therapy exercises,I have recovered. Surprissingly, skin will grow, filling in the missing areas with your origional finger print. Your nerves will reroute and you'll be picking your nose again like nothing ever happened. Best of luck. I love Wendy's chili. I want let this finger pieces in the chili post change up my menu habbits. Crush up three packs of crackers then top off with a tube of sour cream. Yummmmm! Squirrel Crusher

Ouch! My father-in-law lost half a finger in a chipper shredder. Count your blessings, it could have been worse.

The problem with a router is at near 30,000rpm they really don't take anytime to decide what parts they are going to "hack" out.
In this family it has been table saws.
Goodluck with those quitar lessons...

But, the ER Doc was really good, re-attached everything after cleaning out a few bones chips, didn't promise me anything, and to my surprise, it all healed up and you would never know today...good luck stumpy...oops...hope it heals up soon...really....
