Default Traction control question.

Anyway to default the traction control off? Getting tired of pushing the button all the time.

Are you asking if there is a way to actually shut it completely off, instead of only partially "off".

I have read in the past about pulling two fuses. Maybe someone else can help... (fuse 16 & 17)

I'm sorry, let me clarify.
There's a button that turns the TC on and off. The default when you start the car is "ON". I would like it off. I don't need it on in Houston TX.

Gotcha, I really don't know how you would do it without reprograming the cars computer. Like James pointed out, pulling out those 2 fuses shuts it down completely. But some people have found that by doing so, their wing starts to act up, or their brake lights don't work etc.
I disconnected the middle wire on the traction control just ahead of the battery, and have had no ill effects by doing so, other than my anti-locks don't work (which is fine by me). But it seems that only works on the 04's, and a handful of 05's. I don't know if the automatics can get away with it either.

If pushing the button tires you, you should get out and exercise.

That's strange. The default on mine is whatever I have it set too when I turn the car off. I don't use it so it just stays off all the time.

One of many projects I'm working on. I should have more info on it late next week.

Is there any way to remove the windshield? It's such a pain to keep clean and when the bugs hit I can never seem to get them completely wiped off...

And that pesky brake pedal... Always have to push it every time I want to stop. I gotta do something about that too...

A hacksaw will resolve your brake pedal issue. As for the windshield? A large hammer will clean that up lickity split. Let me guess, your bumpers are in the way? Try a bridge pylon at 80mph. Fix em right up.
