THANKS to all of you - BEST Forum!
THANKS to all of you - BEST Forum!
This is the BEST car owners' forum on the net, regardless of make/model!
I bought my 2004 Blaze Red Xfire about a month ago. So far -- thanks to this forum -- I have made the following modifications:
1) Added the "keyless entry" chirp with a $4.00 part from Radio Shack
2) Replaced the cabin air filter (previous owner was a smoker - odor gone!)
3) Replaced both air intake filters with K&N performance filters - nice!
4) Swapped OEM brake pads for Rotex Gold pads (virtually NO brake dust!)
5) Added carbon fiber under the spoiler with AMG badging
6) Disconnected faulty seatbelt warning sensor (no more beep!)
7) Debadged all Chrysler logos (controversial, but I likey!)
8) Found "hidden" coin holder
9) Checked for toe/camber in rear wheels for excessive wear (yep)
10) Reset service interval indicator (zero now, baby!)
11) Reset throttle response memory (wow!)
12) Repaired rust in door weather stripping with One Step primer/sealer (thanks SRT Six)
13) Learned to LOVE my Xfire!!!
This forum rocks. Everyone treats newbies with TLC and we care about our common Xfire fan.
Kudos to you -- all of you!!!

From Andrew:
Easiest way to disable the seatbelt warning chime:

That's what I did - snipped one brown wire and that's it.
I ALWAYS WEAR MY SEATBELT (saved my life once). But the receptacle in my Xfire was defective -- it chimed even when the belt was connected.
Moved to Cincinnati from Brooklyn. I was an auxiliary cop in the 13th Pct., NYPD.
James: I'll be there at the show this weekend.
Thanks again guys!

Welcome aboard, glad to see you are a quick study
I recently did the seatbelt wire clip and it is awesome. I wear my seatbelt as well, but sometimes quick in and out or pulling it into the garage or something, and we all know it was the worlds most annoying chime....

Now if you can just get the powers that be in the NYPD to stop harassing motorcyclists in the NYC area, that would be great!
