I live in Florida and I usually take my car to get work done at chrysler. My issue is that they charge an arm and a leg for anything. I need to get a steering damper replaced and they wanna charge me 1200 dollars for that which is crazy. I can buy the piece for 30 dollars but im scared to repair myself, I dont wanna mess it up and I dont have any expierance with cars. Does anyone know where i can take my car in for repairs which isnt chrysler and that has expierance with crossfires? I live In Florida.

What part of FL? Its a big state....

 

I understand you may not want to change yourself, but the steering dampener is easy as pie - if you can change a wheel, you can change this part as well. Search for the thread with pictures and detailed instructions and it is a breeze, just remember to turn your weel so you can access everything you need to.

Hope this helps. If not, find any euro chop that does any amount of work on mercedes and you will be in luck, especially once they get under there and realize it is an SLK 320.
