Default Pinstriping

Here’s a skill. I don’t have a steady enough hand, or the guts, to hand paint lines on anything, let alone a car. So I have ultimate admiration for people who have the steady hands and nerves to do this.

Don’t watch what he’s painting - what his hands, how he controls the brush. It’s just magic to watch.

yes it is pretty amazing considering a lot of what dealers put on cars is the tape version. I used to like pin stripes but I think they are "dated" looking.
The hand done stripes are definitely an art.

Anyone who has steady enough hands to do that should've chosen a different career path: OR/ER Surgeon!

Dated" There is no time limit on class.
Done right there is no car that can't benefit from Real pin striping.
To many people make the mistake of going with the wrong colors.
thanks for your post.

Just toying with the idea of pinstripes here.
Give me your feedback as to what you think.
I've only done one side and of course it is removable......

Hey Valk, I did not think I would like it, but that is a really nice job. I think I like it.... especially on that color. I vote YES.

I have had the pleasure of watching these type of guys and yes their work is so cool to watch. I knew Frank Gali, and his son, Frank has his handy work on a lot of metro Detroit area vehicles, he used to go from dealership to dealership to do his work. I also worked at a fire truck manufacture, where a guy called Wild Bill, would do all the pin striping and gold leafing for the fire trucks. I'm glad to see the art is not lost and is still being taught, very talanted people.

Gary I love it! It really accentuates the car’s lines, especially the rear panel. It seems to make the car look longer from the side. Great job!

Gary, I think they look great, and I am not usually a fan on our cars.

I watched the guy at Deal's Gap doing them while we were at the Dragon, you should look into having him do them in paint, takes it to the next level, IMO

Thanks for the positive responses...I did the pinstripe on other side today and brought the end by the rear bumper to a point like the front of the pinstripe.
If I decide to keep it I might have a professional apply it with paint for a more permanent application.
