As for searching my car? Yeah right.. they have to have probable cause and I'll give them absolutely nothing probable.
I also don't carry liquor in my car 24/7, just sometimes.
BTW APKano.. you weren't supposed to see that!! lol.

Hint ....watch what you say on these sites.

Alright guys........I gotta intervene here.
I know nox1s, met him many times. He's actually a really good guy, and someone I'm glad to call a friend. I really wish more people his age were as responsible, and well mannered as he is. I guarantee that anyone here who's met him would think the same thing.
Besides.......I know none of you have ever done anything illegal in your youth, myself included!

You have a photo in your gallery with two cars in a driveway, the Xfire and another with a plate I can read. The police can pull you and me over any time they want don't kid yourself.

Re: Secret Compartment / Hiding Place???
Since we are talking about the subject, Some of yall know that I am a traffic cop in Kansas. 1st off check your state law. Here in kansas I can transport an open container in my car as long as its not in the passenger compartment, the trunk area is not the passenger compartment per our state law.
For those speaking of warrants and cars, remember the auto exception upheld by the supreme court. I don't always need a warrant as long as I have reasonable suspicion that evidence of a crime is in the car. I can immediately search and seize the contraband or evidence. This could be me seeing you leaving a party with booze and minors. Remember also, not that this would ever happen, not all cops are ethical. Some may bet that you would be beaten in court therefor bend the rules. Remember you would be a minor caught transporting booze illegally and in some states may also be DUI/DWI. Here .02 BAC for minors. Vs a cop. Who would the jury and judge believe? You may win but it will come at substantial cost to you. This is what 180 was hinting at.
Also if there is a co-owner on the title that person could also give search consent. If you refuse a request, if given, the cops could go to the co owner and get it from them. Just food for thought. Also remember the plain view doctrine if I can see it from outside the car your busted. Also if I am towing your car I will inventory it, which gives me the ability to dig through your car. Amazing how often we find booze and drugs this way for say a no insurance ticket.
Best bet is transport it legally in your car per your state law. You must be careful since DUI alcohol violations are in the spotlight.

Just make sure you remove all traces of gasoline first, otherwise it might taste funny.
You also may need to retune the engine for pure alcohol as more of it is required to maintain stoichiometric combustion.
You can also use a second fuel pump attached to a relay. The output of the fuel pump can be piped directly into the passenger compartment. You could also install a liquor tap into the dash but that may be too obvious.
You may also need to drive with a gentle foot, otherwise you'll feed the engine all the alcohol before you can hit the fuel pump button to get your own.

I'm thinking single malt injection.

I DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE, but I travel quite frequently and sometimes have a small flask or bottle of booze with me. Being that I do not have a trunk, I would like somewhere to be able to stash a bottle of booze or a small flask so that in case I get pulled over, I will not get an open container violation. Has anyone found any sort of place ether slightly out of view or more hard core hidden completely?? Any info is appreciated, I do not want to get a ticket for having alcohol in my car, especially when traveling through states with different open container laws....
Thanks guys.
John

Re: Secret Compartment / Hiding Place???
What is the mystery here? You could carry a basket full of fresh-sealed miniatures in the front passenger seat if you want. Just toss the empties in the ditch as you get sloshed driving down the highway. No open container to worry about.
Sounds like you may be more attached to that nifty little flask itself than the booze you keep in it.
Get a puppy.

also probable cause can mean alot of things, you could be out late at night, or you crossed the yellow line, they can make up whatever they wish to pull you over.
you have the right not to consent to a breathilizer but then you're still going to jail and getting charged with a DUI.
my point is if a cop wants to search your car there's nothing you can do to stop him.
Re: Secret Compartment / Hiding Place???
I just can't believe anyone would risk the expense involved with having liquor in your car. Why not just wait until you get where you are going, go to the liquor store, buy a bottle, back to the room, party... all is safe, you aren't out on the road, risking not only YOUR life but the lives of people who also share the road. Forget the idea of carrying a flask, buying a new bottle of liquor is WAY less expensive than the ticket you may receive.
Re: Secret Compartment / Hiding Place???
As my thread, I feel the need to comment on some people's sense of self-righteousness or a need to comment on other people's lifestyles.
I AM NOT DRINKING AND DRIVING in ANY sense of the word, and for those who say, 'just get a bottle while you are there and finish it', or 'you need to stop drinking', you are missing the point altogether. I enjoy a pretty rare bourbon that is not cheap. I do not want to down a whole bottle nor can I find it most places I go, hence having a opened fifth or a flask. If you do not drink or think this thread is ridiculous, please do not look. Me carrying a bottle of booze in my car, whether closed or opened, is not going to hurt anyone as it lays in wait until I reach my destination, I assure you of this. I am trying to do the responsible thing and be safe in waiting until I get where I am going.
As for everyone trying to help a guy avoid a ticket for doing something that should be legal for anyone over 21 (carry booze in the car as long as it is not consumed) I THANK YOU ALL!
Please continue.

Judging by the bulk of the responses, my guess is most of the respondants feel it is silly topic, but as this is a public forum, no one actually really "owns" any one thread and are free to express their dismay or entertainment.
Pretty sure the "man" isn't going to put you in a cage if you are A: Sober B: The precious cargo is under the cargo mat in the trunk, as suggested.
Isn't there a war on somewhere?
