Default front grill removal

I have searched and can't find any instructions on how to remove the top front grill. I removed the four top screws and when I tried to pull it off i noticed that the bottom section is fastened and was uncertian how to take it off - I didn't want to pull too hard for fear of breaking it so, what's the trick to remove the the fasteners that hold it on?

I really enjoy this forum.

You must reach down behind the grill from the top and depress the 4 small tabs that are inserted through slots, one at a time. It's a bit tight, but once you move one, you'll see how it goes.

just for the sake of mentioning; ensure you get the bottom ones lined up when putting it back together. the outside ones can go in wrong. It should pop back into place with just a little pressure, if it doesn't then youre not alligned

mine was already broken, bought a replacement, use the old one for racing...cut it up to allow more air in, but the new one doesn't fit right either...I just let her hang there..

The first time I removed my grill I spent a lot of time trying to see how it came off before pulling. After you get it off the first time you will see how it clips on. Take off the 4 screws on top, press down lightly and give it a tug forward and it will come off. The grill opening has 4 slots along the bottom where 4 protrusions on the grill slip on. Good luck, I had to pull more than I wanted to the first time but nothing broke.
