Crossfire Coupe Security Covers Found
Crossfire Coupe Security Covers Found
All,
I spent several weeks trying to locate a security cover for the trunk of my 2008 crossfire coupe here in the US. As you know, they are completely sold out. After making a number of phone calls to various dealers internationally, I managed to find a Chrysler Dealership in the U.K. that was willing to order the part for me directly from Mopar in Germany. Once i found a willing dealer, I ordered the part via fax and then handled the rest of transaction over e-mail. It was a rather simple - although a bit of a long process. The part arrived at the local dealership just outside of London fairly quickly. From there, I went online to UPS in the UK and scheduled a pick-up of the package. I had to fill out a few customs forms and it cost about $100.00 to ship - but if you are really dying to have a car cover - they are still out there. If you would like to order the part, let me know and I can e-mail the name of the contact person at the Chrysler Dealership (called S.G. Smith) in London. The part took about 11 days to ship as it got held up in customs (I should have done a better job of describing what it was) but it arrived in perfect condition. I had the local dealership in Oakland California install the cover, which took about two hours (and was a bit of tricky install). At the end of the day, I am quite happy with the cover!

Re: Crossfire Coupe Security Covers Found
Can you see alright about the security cover.....?
I was thinking about getting my windows tinted.... kinda for this same reason. The main thing holding me back is the limited visibilty. Because we're already somewhat limited in rear visibility with the spoiler up.

Re: Crossfire Coupe Security Covers Found
I bought a security cover last year with the Crossfire logo on it and love it too.
Be sure to check your state's rules about percentage tint allowed.
Re: Crossfire Coupe Security Covers Found
I just found Security Covers online!
I'll order one tomorrow for $305 including international shipping.
If people are intrested were to get them or want some pic's when it arrive's let me know.
It looks like the original cover, not the imitation one in v-shape.
Called chrysler Holland today and they were all out ofc.

Re: Crossfire Coupe Security Covers Found
I like the idea of the security cover, but $300+ is a little steep for me, especially since I keep my XFs garaged. I went with tint for $130: 35% on the sides and 15% on the rear to cut down on SUV headlights. I can see well during the day but backing up at night is tricky, so I always park where I can pull through or back in.

Re: Crossfire Coupe Security Covers Found
Tought of buying that one, but it was gonne cost me about $200 including shipping.
Does that one also roll itsself up? Or is it just a flap?
For the extra 100 i'll think i rather have the original one.
I'll post the link, as soon as i have ordered one, still waiting on Paypall transver.
For U.S. people they cost $55 dollar less for you.. shipping and import
