Default Help... Door Lock Pins!

Just received a gift of polished door lock pins with the surrounding trim rings. Any advice out there on how to put them on? On my older cars, they just screwed off, but I notice the new pins have no threads inside. Do the stock pins screw off? Don't wanna force anything.....Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks

When I replaced mine, the old plastic ones unscrewed off and the new ones screwed on without any problems. If I remember correctly, the threads are pretty far up inside - you probably wouldn't be able to see them...

I often thought about getting new custom pins. Would love to see pictures of how it looks!

Here you go - not the greatest pix but they should give you an idea. The ones I got have XFire on the top of them. I think the wife got them on eBay. I like the look much better than the cheap plastic originals...

Hoping for FP to chime in, he has the pins & rings.
He might be able to tell you how to install.

I just went out and pulled mine off - 14 turns and the new ones come free from the post in the door. The threads start 1/2 way up inside the new pins. If you look down inside the new pins just right you can see where the threads start. The post doesn't extend above the door panel when the pins are removed.
