Thumbs up Crossfire Wiring Harness Replacement

When I purchase my 2005 Crossfire, I also purchased the transfer of the Powetrain Warranty and the Crysler Extended Warrenty (Bumper to Bumper?) both to 70,000 miles.

The Crossfire has two positive leads from the battery post to the "wiring harness." The one that feeds all thing electrical broke at the connection (Y split) at the battery post. (I think the other one goes to the starter.)

Simple Fix? I took it to the dealer who said that (a) I needed a new Chrysler wiring harness at $500 and (b) the wiring harness was not cover under the Warranty plan. I said, "no way!" I went to Advanced Auto Parts and purchaces a battery post "Dual Cable Splice" for $10.

Since my car was still at the Dealer, this moring I took the part to the dealer and said, "Install this Duel Cable Splice." They said they would.
My $500 repair became a $10 repair.

(The reason my Crossfire was still at the Dealer is because they are repairing the seat heaters that are covered by the Warranty.)
