Show me your tint!
Show me your tint!
I'm considering getting some tint on my car and I've been looking at a few websites that show various cars with various levels of tint, but I'm having a hard time deciding how dark I want it.
Could any crossfire owners who have had their windows tinted please post pics of your car in addition to the level of tint (30%, 40%, etc). I definitely do not want it blacked out, but I would like to darken it a bit. I;m currently thinking about 30% or 40%, but would consider others.
Thanks!

Re: Show me your tint!
Check out the pics in my gallery. I have 5% on the back window of my roadster, and 20% on the sides. As you can tell in my pictures, the sides look pretty dark. In shade or at night it's basically like looking at limo tint (5%), but when it's sunny out or when the sun is directly hitting it, you can see in the 20% pretty well.
As far as looking OUT of 20%...I've had it on all my cars and never had a problem with backing up at night. I love it.

It's not worth it. You'll never shrink the back right and chances are you'll **** up the sides as well. I believe you have to use a heat gun on the side windows.. as my tinter did that as well..
I'll snap some pictures tomorrow if I can.. I have 5% on all windows and the back.. looks awesome I think and I love the privacy..!
But FP.. if you want to try here's some "starter" tips..

It's something I tried 3 times.. and i'm not really an idiot when it comes to these things either.. by the 3rd time it was tolerable but definitely you could tell it was a "DIY" job..
I then paid a professional 125$ to do it out of his house using high quality film, and I would never try to tint a window again..

what he said,
if you botch up the rear window with the defrost lines that means time to get a new window you can tear up the defrost lines.
if you want to practice do the front windows and side windows but you use a mixture of like soapy water and get it placed right and then use a heat gun and squeege to get the bubbles out and lay it right.
if you do a good job on the front and sides a shop will charge you $50-$75 to do the rear and it is well worth it so you do not have to worry about bubbles in the tint.

Is that an ansa that I see? People complain about the tips being small and or not looking as good as stock but they look pretty sweet on your car. I kinda like the different tips. Cant wait to put mine on!
