Re: Show me your tint!
The tint that was offered on the o4 limited as seen in the picture of the red one is perfect. Remember no matter what ANYONE says, YOU CANNOT SEE AS WELL THROUGH TINT! Especially at 20% or darker. I too like how they look, but it's like the guys that buy after market lights to illuminate the road and put tint over them to look cool?? They are NOT "Drivers". Listen to your local widow tinter. I have a friend that has had a tint shop for over 20 years. I know many of his customers that have been ticketed by HP at night because they would not listen to him about how dark to go. The cost of a ticket plus the removal and reaplication of tint gets pretty costly! It doesn't matter what state you are in you CAN and will in time be ticketed.
We have all heard, "You Should Not Out Drive Your Headlights". Reduce that by 20% and... How fast do you want to go?

How am I any 'less of a driver' because I chose to make a visual modification that in no way shape or form interferes with my driving or my driving ability. I installed HID lights because the stock headlights are garbage and I wanted better visibility. With the 'tint' on my lenses (which is actually a high grade vinyl made for lenses) I still have miles better visibility than stock and it 'looks cool'. I am trying not to take offense, but when someone makes a statement like that, especially in a car forum, it is difficult not to (and I have to think it was intended for me because I am the only one with vinyl overlays on my car and tinted windows). Please clarify how I am not a 'driver'????

SECONDLY; ANYONE THAT KNOWS WHAT DRIVING TRULY IS, would never brighten the road then dim it down to "Look Cool" as you put it. A driver is capable of knowing the edge and how to place himself on that edge he in no way takes "Cool" over time.
THIRDLY & MOST IMPORTANTLY;
Take a chill pill and remember not everything is about you, no matter how cool you think you are

One more thing How can you possably say your the only one with tinted windows and tinted headlights. That's hard to beleave you could think those two part store modifications are that rare. Even if it is a space age, scientific, specially designed high tech vinyl. So are my grand kids Swim Diapers.

The sound is droney (is that a word?) at times, and it is quite a bit louder than stock, but when you get on it, there is nothing better than that exhaust note
I went with the ansa's because I would not like any drone that would drive me nuts. But it looks great nontheless!

Well I have 13% on my window. I got it from a shop named Tint Xxperts in Auburn. Really stubborn guy to talk to but did a fine job!
I think there are pictures of my tint in my gallery, if not I'll post some up. After awhile of driving with the tint you get used to it. Yes it does make the inside of the car dark, but would you have that or a person trying to look through your window looking clueless?!

Have a wonderful day Mike.

Thank you for suggesting I have a nice day. It's nice to see some adolescents still respect us OLD guys. Be careful and look at how many OLD guys over 50 are on this forum...
P.S. you know the finest car designers in the world are over fifty, what would OLD GUYS KNOW?

Gee Whiz
As POed as he got assuming I was even speaking about him personally, rather than rubber coated head lights and driving ability, imagine if I had brought up sexual abilities. How would we ever prove that on a track?? Imagine him losing to an over 50 year old! OUCH!
You too have a wonderful day

THe good thing is that we are crossfire owners and love our cars. You guys are both great drivers in my opinion and are passionate. This back and forth both of you know gets us no where and I know someone wants to have the last word.... ...so let that be me and cut it out guys! We are all forum friends, now lets hug (ok lets not) but lets keep this on the positive!
THanks guys
