YUP....I would say it was worth leaving early.
She looks like she is into the Crossfire and posing for pics.
Pretty cool if ya ask me.

What is her name and what town does she live in ??
Also how did ya meet up ??

Hey, if things don't work out, think I can get her number?

Haha, just kidding. Thanks for joining us for a short bit today. Hope the date went well. Good luck with all that.

I'll catch you later. PM me about AutoX and the LET/Eurocharged track day if you want to ride along.

She's too young for you. Your welcome and glad I could hang out. And AutoX schedule is:

Sat, 4/18 (instead of 4/26)
Sun, 5/24 (memorial day weekend)
Sun, 6/21 (you guessed it - father's day!)
Sun, 7/19
Sun, 8/9 (instead of 8/16)
Sun, 9/20
Sun, 10/4

Yep, learned to drive stick on it too today and Friday. Only stalled it twice and doing mighty darn well. Now she only needs to figure out how to get into reverse instead of 2nd

Well she's at least 18, which is really all that matters.
18=18=18
15=20-life

Always keep that in mind.

I'll see what my Memorial Day plans look like, maybe I'll head up for the AutoX.

Nice, but I would be worried about all those finger prints and denim abraisions on the paint. I'm sure you had your detail sparay handy.

That is what I was thinking too (eventually anyway)...rivets and buttons on jeans....YIKES!

edit: Oh....you probably did a CLOSE inspection of her jeans first...right?

Of course, its those jeans without the buttons on the corners. she really respects cars so she was gentle. I'll forgive a few paw prints on the hood for those pictures. Hopefully much more to come.

She really loves driving my car though, and got all the way up to 4th gear even. Moving off the line the jerks are to a minimum at this point so she's getting there. I realized though this isn't an easy car to learn stick on.

So Sylwia and I were going to a party and we wanted to bring our friend along. Obviously the problem there is a 2 seater. Well a few weeks ago I saw an ingenious solution by another XF owner. While following an XF I see the spoiler pop down a bit and in the trunk a third person. I figure, heck, why not. The girl in the trunk is 5"6' and fit comfortably, very snug she said. I had a blanket and a gym bag in there also making it comfy to lean on. No flying around even on some little drifts. Works well. Alot safer and more discreet than having her in the front too. Not the best choice for long trips I'd assume. And so on to the result:

I once was leaving a party and I had brought a friend along. Two girls wanted a ride home (as they were completely drunk..). Where did they end up? BOTH in the trunk!

Still my best story to this day. In.. more then one way

I took my 12 year old niece down to southern Illinois in the back of my Coupe last year.
Although it was comfortable for her and she thought it was really cool it surely wasn't safe and I had that on my mind most of the way down.
No seatbelt, against the law and heaven forbid if we were involved in an accident and she was harmed in any way.
It was only one time but I will probably not allow it again.

One of the Mercedes 2-seaters has a jump seat that opens transversely to allow seating for one behind the front seats. Some of the Sindelfingen 500K's had this as did, I believe, one of the 70's SL's. I half expected to see this sold as an option for the SLK but of course not.
