It's done this way so that if you are a male student and have a female instructor she won't know how excited you are....lol

Not the best choice for long trips I'd assume. And so on to the result:

If you think running 11's in the 1/4 mile is fun....
try a 14000 foot jump with 10,000 feet of freefall at over 110 mph.
