attached are photos of the American Rosewood Dashkit installed on my 2006 Alabaster coupe. Sorry I haven't quite figured out how to upload pics more efficiently yet! Mark

Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments. the dask kits are something that some like and some not so much, but as I was taping this one on I decided that it warmed up the interior so I just went ahead and did it. Again I appreciate your comments. I got the chrome and brushed alum ebrake cover with the kit, kind of a freebie with the kit from Mojo Auto Parts, Ryan Held was the rep. This whole kit was from MimoUSA I believe. Total price was 80 for the Rosewood, the Oxford Burl was like 60 I think. I just have had the rosewood in 3 of my cars and always liked that pattern and color. Found it first on ebay, but really dealt with Ryan directly after that-he was really good to work with, and they have shift ***** and a whole bunch of stuff, nice stuff too. Again, thanks for the comments. Mark

Hate to be rude, but I think it looks horrific. I think like more of a metallic theme would fit the whole car better... just my .02..

I think you did a nice job on the install, and it looks great. Some folks don't like them and insist on letting you know about it.

Hey, if something blows ones skirt up, that's what counts!

I have to agree I bought the same kit and it looked cheap so I tore it all out, the metallic original kit looks best. The only dash kit that I can see looking good is the aluminum kit.

I'll just say that the wood kit looks better than most I've seen (nice colour and what seems to be a good fit!!) - personally though I prefer the matallic finish

Wouldn't mind seeing how it looks from the radio up with the shifter plate done. I think it would blend everything in and make it appear factory. Not saying it looks bad just might be a little to much for some tastes. I remember back in the days momo sold a nice wood shifter ****, not sure if you could find something like that but it would touch it off nice. Our silver just has that idustrial look so it's hard to blend anything without it looking off. Carbon Fiber Accents I think would be nice but that's more race car then roadster. Wood look is nice if your trying to keep that luxury roadster theme all in all it's not bad.

i have to agree. i dont think wood goes well with the interior and covering up the glove box makes it look kinda cheap. i plan on buying a silver carbon-fiber dash kit. and im only going to cover up the center dash back to the storage bin, around the door handles, and the strip along the gauge housing. then maybe getting the silver carbon fiber fender grills to carry the theme outside

dah kit-150 from mimousa off ebay

i think it would go better with black switchgear and *****. the silver/wood combo doesn't do much for me.

That wood dash kit really changes the interior and reminds me of the Jaguars and Bentleys of years past. I used a dash kit (brushed aluminum) on my Fiero GT and was pleased with the result. The important thing about any modification is that it pleases the owner. Impress yourself, it's ur car, ur money. If I wanted lace curtains in my XFire, I'd install them......(hmmm..now that I've said that...)

yeah, as I said, it's either a you like it or you don't. Personally I really don't like the carbon fibre look at all. I think the brushed alum would have looked ok, but I wasn't crazy about how that would look on the silver paint we have. As far as the wood on the glove box, I started it off just doing the radio stack and the console, but then the glove box area looked cheap and unfinished, so I just said the heck with it and finished it off. I like the color of the wood and the black, and the silver edges to me fit right in, the shift know I specifically left until I see rosewood and black leather. anyway, I think it came out fine, reduces the overly industrial look of the plastic and paint, and I'm happy with it all in all. But whether anyone else likes it or not, I do think I did a good job of centering it and getting it all to lay flat.

ooooooo-a vinyl top! Cool. Gotta get some of that fringe stuff, maybe day-glo orange fro the back window!!!!! Haven't seen that sh*t since 1978.
