Hey, give the kid a break. He sent me this picture of his turbo vent. I think he's telling the truth.

And anyway, Sean760 believes him. Who are we to doubt!

I think I made a post about a car falling in your lap the chances of it being true would be very rare. I was more or less saying it would be possible to do it on an NA with what's available if I said otherwise please quote me. I knew it was a "Hey I have 4 turbos and run a 9 second quarter mile on pump gas, get 30 miles to the gallon and still pass smog" post.

This has bearing on the 13 second NA thread as well it can easily be done without Nitrous with what's available out there. Startech makes the cam and spring kit which I'm sure if there selling those it could be duplicated a company named Crower who's been making cams for years can do just about any grind you supply them with. You add cams springs with our current vendors TVT/Needswings CAI, ported intake manifold, Larger Throttle Body, Exhaust and a tune (This isn't including any head work which is where the real power would be made) Then we can pass judgement on what an NA can't do.

Well to claim world record I hope you do what I did:
- more than one drag slip
-video
-weight station slip
-choose the chategory (fastest srt6, fastest NA, fastest street legal NA or SRT6, fastest racer or something!)

Thanks for accepting the advice ahead of time!

I stumbled on this thread trying to find the average 1/4 mile times for a stock SRT6. This is pretty darn funny. I loved the video nice job.

How to solve this problem.
1. Dyno the car
2. If Dyno doesn't measure up, kick OP in the head with a jack boot. If it does, proceed to 3
3. Weigh the car, ready to race
4. Track time, with atleast 2 timeslips withing 2 tenths to back up the claim

OP stated he sold his crossfire for a BMW 3 series that's "much nicer" and faster than the Crossfire. Funny thing is he still logs in here almost daily.

The last 3 series I owned (06 330) was way nicer than the crossfire, sorry. interior didnt feel so sparse and cheap... oh yea, they make more power than the crossfire too. Plus the aftermarket support for anything BMW is huge

I love switching from the first post of this thread to the last post and seeing how much this thread has devolved. What a f*****g joke that guy is.

I don,t know a lot about cars but i put about a 1/2 tank of racing gas in my car I think it was 100 octane.it was over 6 dollars a gallon. the car ran great, it seemed a lot quicker but this was in the fall in cooler weather also. My question is am I doing damage to the engine running this gas? I like to try it again in the warmer weather.

Sadly you're just waisting your money since the car isn't tuned to use that high of an octane fuel.

So why do you drive a crossfire? I would assume that you would've lined up for a Z4. BTW I never thought any of my Crossfires felt sparse or cheap. Personally I think the interior is on par with Cadilac's CTS line. Granted it's no audi, but when you purchase an Audi TT for the price you paid for a Crossfire call me. The leather isn't the cheap **** they use in the Minivans or Jeeps, the carpet is farely thick, and the dash is plastic. I guess you could ask for a leather dash, but why?

So infinite, what's so cheap about the Crossfire's interior?

Higher octane gas does not make you go faster. The higher the octane the gas the more compression it can take before spontaneously combusting. It doesn't add more horsepower

My 325ci is much nicer than the crossfire but i never said it was faster! I do still log on here because as i stated in a different thread my friend bought my crossfire, so he and i do look at the forum! I did enjoy the crossfire but after having the 325ci for about a month i can say it really is a better car, it feels better made, dosent rattle over bumps, and has a driving feel that the crossfire cant compete with. Yes the crossfire is faster but that really is about it!

hah, z4. no.
Im working on getting an e39 m5 to replace the crossfire, maybe even go back to an 05 330ci

The interior is sparse, all plastic... 2 tone to boot (every color combo looks cheap). Every **** and dial feels cheap. The steering wheel feels cheap to me (and huge for no reason)
The leather is meh.

I would prefer a simple black interior, none of this two, three tone crap.

They don't make enough power to go 12.98 @ 108
