Soooo...I went snooping around today in my engine bay and found some hoses loose. I dont know what these hoses are or if they are casuing the problem. There are three hoses disconnected. One is a bigger black one, it looks like it is disconnected from a fitting located on the bottom part of the firewall above the tranny. the last two are a thin -hardplastic tube, silver in color and a medium size soft black rubber tube. I think these are vacuum tubes but am not sure. I believe these two plug into eachother because they are seperated very closely and the opening are facing the same direction. I want to ask here first before I started plugging stuff into eachother.

I have 5 pictures, sorry for the overkill. The first two are from the drivers side, facing the firewall, behing the engine above the tranny. The last three are on the passanger sde, looking at the same angle. Any Ideas?

Guess I can only have 4 pictures so here they are.

This big balck tube is supposed to be open. It is a drain tube. the small metal tube is supposed to be connected to a small black rubber tube up near the throttle body. Did you you get the codes read?

Okaley dokaley..... sooooo I bought a OBDII scanner. 3 codes popped up, and it seems they describe all of the symptoms that I am experiencing. However, I dont know exactly what they all mean, how they are affecting my car and what to do about them as far as parts to get etc. Maybe one of you nice knowledgable fellow wners could help me out.

The codes are as follows:
P0171 - System Too Lean Bank 1
P0151 - 02 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 1
P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit

I would connect the loose hose, reset the codes and drive the car again and see if the same codes come up again. This would then not have the code set for the loose hose, I am assuming it set a code of course.
I assume that the code; P0171 - System Too Lean Bank 1 was set by the loose hose.

You can get the crankshaft sensor at Napa for about $75. It is a very easy replacement. Remove connector, take out one bolt, pull out old sensor, install new sensor, replace bolt, plug in connector. Clear codes with OBDII reader.

Let me know if you need help since your local to me.

The crank shaft position sensor is very easy to change if you feel like doing it yourself. You can get the parts from a parts store or the dealer. I found mine at Napa for less than the dealer wanted.
