Water Drops --- Can Window Be Adjusted?
Water Drops --- Can Window Be Adjusted?
Sometimes I get a couple drops of water on my passenger door near the triangle. Mostly when I bring it to the car wash (not the machine- the do it yourself--I sometimes spray it down when it gets dusty). Yesterday it was pouring. I got in my car and it was dry. I started to drive and I noticed 2 drops of water in the same place. I never opened the door because it is the passenger side.
Today I noticed the top of the window does not fit tight under the molding like my driver side. I could stick my nail in a groove between the glass and top molding. I can't do that on the driver side. Is it possible my window needs an adjustment? Or do you think the molding was taken off and needs to be put back on the correct way (I did replace my headliner recently).
Not that concerned because it is a small amount of water. But I want to take care of it before it gets worse.

Re: Water Drops--- Can Window Be Adjusted?
Some glass was not set correctly to the proper glass/seal specs and there was a TSB on this matter. I do not trust the shops too much and I was going to do mine myself. I do not get water inside but I am told it has the wind whistling through it and I can see that the fit is not as good as the driver side. The shop manual explains the method.
Re: Water Drops--- Can Window Be Adjusted?
On my car it does not fit as well as the driver side. I may wait and see what happens. A couple of drops won't kill it. But if gets any worse I will have the window adjusted. I wonder if anyone here had the same problem with water and if they got their window adjusted.
Re: Water Drops--- Can Window Be Adjusted?
I have a 2008 coupe and if it is in the garage and I take it out in the cold I can hardly close the doors. The glass is to high and won't go under the black moulding. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it don't. No problem in the warm weather. If I have the windows adjusted I am afraid the seal won't be as good. Any one else have those problems. Thanks Les

I massaged the rubber pieces around the window yesterday. I just washed my car and sprayed around the window. Got it nice and wet without spraying it hard with pressure. No water drops. I am going to keep an eye on it. If it ever starts leaking, at least I know the window angle needs to be adjusted.
