Default Run Flat Tires

Does anyone know where I can get run flat tires? I got them for the front, but couldn't find them for the rear.

These cars are not supposed to run well with runflats. I read where the engineers tried them in early development and runflats didn't work.

Wait a minute.Run flats are what my 2006 Limited Roadster came with and I love the way it drives.
You mean it might be better if I ditch them? How?

From what I understand, the lack of sidewall flex on runflats was unacceptable for ride quality. There might be an issue too with handling performance. These cars are already known as harsh riders, and runflats, I guess, put them "over the top".

Double check your tires. When we were looking/buying our first Crossfire, the salesman said it had runflats on the car. It was after the purchase that I read (here) where runflats don't work on these cars. Our Crossfire had Condinental Contacts which I researched and found out are NOT runflats. So, the salesman either lied or more likely was ignorant to the fact.

So, what tires do you have?

You may be right. i think I got the same salesman. The tires are Continentals and I don't see anything to indicate that they are in fact run flats.

Actually - Chrysler is big on a "protection" package for the Contis. They offered similar on 300's.
The tires are sprayed in the interior with a sticky rubber coating.
Works similar to "slime" as it is supposed to prevent leaks even when punctured (just not as messy).

I was advised by a service rep that crossfires all have run-flat tires. I didn't correct him, as maybe he meant go-flat tires, which are standard equipment on many fine vehicles.

Are you commenting on the grand state of South Carolina? We are first in many important ways. Education, employment, various comunicable ailments, per capita income, etc. Our shortcomings are unrivaled except by our excesses. Besides, in what other state is North south of Due West. And don't get me started on the fine communities of Sugar T't and Ninety Six.
