It would be awsome but I think it would be really hard to do, plus the saftey of your car might be compromized.

You may have some structural integrity problems, depending upon how much of roof you plan on removing.
Here are some photos of what the Crossfire looks like under its skin. Unfortunately none are directly looking down at the top.

From what I can tell, it looks as though there is a sizeable area that could be replaced with some "safety glass" but it goes without saying you would lose the roofs "spine". But since it's only cosmetic and really doesn't extend into the hatch area it would probably look OK.
Getting a piece of Glass made to fit the contour of the Crossfires roof may be a little cost prohibitive, but maybe plexiglass could be used to keep the cost down. Using a dark tinted mylar coating to cover the sections of the roof not removed, and matching it to the tint of the new glass, and the glass in the hatch, might give the illusion of the Mustangs custom look.
Sounds like an interesting project.
I know the place that built my hood could do it, they are fantastic fabricators.
Sounds like a good winter project.
I just noticed that you live Florida (no winter).

I have a full factory glass roof on my daily driver.....it's one of the nicest feature on the car, especially during the long Michigan winters. It also has a power retractable sunshade, that is a must in the summer even with the very dark tint of the glass.
On this particular model, manufacturer testing has shown that rigidity is in fact better than with the standard bows and steel panel.....

That would be an expensive modification to do correctly (Like Mikes hood). Lot's of custom fabrication. Let us know how that turns out for you. I wouldn't have the guts to cut out my spline... ... Your car looks great as it is. Good luck !

A one-off glass roof would be very expensive to have done well. You would also need to fabricate a new headliner to trim it out nicely. It would be a cool feature to have though.

I always wanted a targa top for my cobra, but I would have had a roll cage installed as well. But then you would have to store it somewhere. Oh well the cobra is gone. freaking drunk drivers!
