And as for the Crossfire-as-a-firearm-reference, I always think either of the Stevie Ray Vaughn song. Or as this Forbes article puts it ( http://www.forbes.com/2004/07/12/cz_jf_0712featB.html), it's 'a cool name for a cool car'.

Socially liberal?
Then you're a Libertarian!

I am 99% conservative republican. There is only one thing about liberals that I appreciate. And I am not going to get into what that 1% is! I am sorry I even brought up politics. I just want to talk about cars! Lately I need lots of advice on my car and I appreciate everyone for their responses to my questions! You are all a big help. Thanks everyone!

The biggest part of my anatomy sometimes seems to be my mouth, but what the hey, I'm entiltled to an opinion too, Nicht wahr? I decided to stir the pot and see what's at the bottom.

I currently have 3 paid subscriptions to C&D, 1 for myself and 2 for Grandsons. I have enjoyed C&D for years until I found the article by Phil Leitz on line about the worst car disasters in 25 years. I have gone page by page thru the mag 4 times and can't find it in the issue. What page is it on, and who the Heqq is Phil Leitz? I own a 2005 Crossfire Limited Coupe, and I am very upset by his report. Did he ever drive a Crosfire? Did he ever stick his butt in one? Is he using plagiarized material from other "experts". Chrysler execs are not known to be the sharpest potato truck drivers in the midwest. My little 215 HP Xfire is enough fun for me, and I can't imagine how much funner the 330 HP SRT 6 is. I'd really like to know where this guy is coming from, and why doesn't he contact Crossfire forum.org https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=343494 or CICCI at http://www.crossfireinternational.com/membersforum/ and get some owners opinions. At least Tom MaCahil drove what he wrote about. I guess I will subscribe to J C Whitney when these subs run out.

If you forget about top speed for a second and think about the design of the crossfire. It is built for long periods of high speed. It is not really about how fast you can go... it is more about how long you can go fast. You can do 110 MPH on the highway and it will feel smooth. The crossfire almost eats that kind of driving up. It feels like it just woke up from a long nap! Can a hybrid really keep up at high speeds for long periods of time? After about 10 miles at 110 MPH I bet it will feel like it wants to slow down. Reminds me of all these pickup drivers that try to do 100 on the highway. I love pickups and drove them in my younger days. At 100 MPH it feels really scary... with the wind blowing and you don't feel like you are in control! The crossfire is just a great feeling on the highway!

About the high speed scenerio, I can go 110mph in my 10 year old taurus all day and it is smoother than my SRT-6 at that speed.
Re: C&D disses the Xfire. Another "top flops" list.
as far as list prices and amount sold new i guess some of these cars on the list might be considered a flop.but if i can get a deal on something i like i dont care what some clueless mag. thinks.oh and if theres any ssr's out there for under 20 grand i'd consider buying one of them too.
