Keep in mind that some cars may not have heated left and right mirrors. I think that changes the fuse rating. The manual for the 2004 Coupe says 15 amp blue fuse in the underhood fuse panel slot 6. That car has heated mirrors.

I have an 05 manual, speaking as a construction Electrician, start with the 5 amp , if she pops try the 10 amp then try the 15 amp. I cant see MB/Chrysler/ Karmann changing the wiring harness,to suit a year or style and the fuse is to Protect the wiring and not the device that is being used. Without digging into the wiring harness I would think that 16 gauge wire would be a minimum, and that should be good for 12 amps, go figure

I just replaced with another 5amp fuse. It moved for a second and the fuse blew again. I just wiped the dash down last night with a damp towel (24 hours ago). Could there still be some water in there? It sat all day in the sun with 80 degree temps. The dealership just got done taking my center console apart (I doubt they messed with this). I would hate to bring it back.
