I bought the paint for the wheels and the grill and I had a friend paint them with his paint gun. I prepped the wheels and he painted them. Same with the grill. The paint isnt exactly the same paint code as the body...only because the paint was like 100 bucks for a pint. I'm not sure what I want to do with the front badge. I'm probably going to leave it since theres a badge on the back, and I left the chrysler logo on the wheels as well.

Nice car, this makes me really want to paint my wheels black. What did you use on your wheels, or have them done?

I asked the local place for some pxb 040 paint but it was too expensive for me, so i asked for some cheaper paint that would be identical. To prep them, i bought some scuff pads to get the clear coat off of the rims, and then i had a friend of mine paint them with a normal paint gun. No need to spend hundreds of dollars for a powder coating. If you can handle a paint gun properly, or know somebody that can, ask them. A couple of coats of black paint similar to the crossfire body paint wont look bad at all if done correctly.

That last pic is my favorite. I don't like the idea of rattle-canning the stock wheels however...not the classiest mod :P

I bought 2 pints of black paint that matched the pxb 040 black that mercedes uses on the crossfire. The replica paint is pretty close to the color of the car, I just didnt clear coat the wheels because I liked it better flat. To paint them, a 400$+ paint gun was used and several coats were laid into all 4 of the wheels. It might look rattle canned because the rim is darker than the tire which bothers me too but I'd rather just leave it like that, or I could tire shine them every morning.

That looks really nice! I'm going to need to get a bunch of stuff painted on my car now! Though I just can't warm up to the stock wheels painted black. I may have to get different wheel--in black. The stock wheels painted black look nice when in motion.

So you are going to drop the car a little now?

I wish. If I'm going to drop the car I am going to do it correctly and buy coil overs. Don't have that kind of money though
