Talking De-Badged, and what I did...

I recently de-badged Bridgette, and this is what I did with the letters.
Here she is de-badged

Here is the view thru the rear window

Here is a close up of the new "Woody Badge"

And here is a picture of the "Woody Deck" and cargo net

Now I have a "Woody Crossfire", what do you think?

I like it. Now just put some wood on each side of the car and you are all done.

Ok, the Canucks have been heard from. A man just did a little bit of personalization to his ride, interior, and you state "not too much" and "put some wood on each side"?

Find a polar bear!

Default De-Badged, and what I did...

Definitely not to my liking so I'll be kind and say little more. I might ask why? And you will respond "Why not?"

A nearby repossessed 3 year old home, in our very nice neighborhood with wood or stucco and stone fronts, had some tall lodge poles worked into the front of the house. No one cared for it as it's been empty for 2 years. The Bank just removed the Lodge poles and replaced them with pillars. It has a chance of being loveable enough to buy now. I guess my thought is that both were/are out of place. To each his own though!

Ok, I'll give a little back:

A modification to a home is a bit different, I live in a gated community with strict rules on what you can do to the EXTERIOR of a home. For the obvious reasons. I should know, I sit on our ACC commitee. The reasons being property resale values.

Do you think his personalization is affecting your Crossfire resale value?

I don't think I would make this mod either. I have the ability, but there doesn't seem to be an application in a roadster. Giving the fella' grief is uncalled for.

You hail from Idaho? I would think that some natural wood might be appealing in the sea of plastic that describes the Crossfire interior.

Let's see, wood and sports cars.......didn't the British do that back in the 40's and 50's? Nice tribute Smfry.

The great thing about autos, is that they can be customized in about a million different ways so everyone can find a look they like...Looks great!!!

Ya got my support and my vote.
It's original and you are probably the first to do it that way.
Thanks for sharing and expect both negative and positive feedback from others.
It happens any time someone posts a "what do ya think" thread.

I should talk to the rest of the So. Cal people about making you an honorary Californian. Not my style but it's very creative and nicely done.

Come to think of it I have a wood dash so maybe it is my style.

Thanks to all that looked and commented, even on both sides of the line. Actually the deck was a left over from my PT Cruiser days. Having spent a lot of $ on getting it made I figured I should do something with it after trading it for Bridgette, so I cut it down to fit on top of that flimsy board that DC put back there. Then I adapted a PT cargo net to hold all my wine (and other things) from sliding around. As for the badge, it's held on by heavy duty velcro hooks directly to the carpet. So, if I ever decide to sell Bridgette(NOT) it all can come out. And to whoever said "Put some wood on the sides" , how can you mess with Perfection

I said not too much, no mention of wood on the side, I gave an honest answer to an honest question. I like the look of the de-badging done, I would never do it, as I am a `stock fan', thats just me.
We have got too much wood around here anyway, its going cheap, want to buy some?
