Because it is an MB, some things WILL break, and will cost plenty to repair when they do. I'd probably trust it more if it was an actual MOPAR.

That said, none of its issues will leave you stranded. You can reliably drive this car anywhere, but little things may go wrong and require servicing.

I just lost my 97 cobra, a couple of months ago, and decided on a crossfire. One thing I will urge you to do is get an SRT6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they have the same kind of power my cobra did, it has to be a blast considering weight differences. Not sure with the verts, but with a coupe you can easily go grocery shopping. Now that a system is installed, not too much room in the back, but a custom box should help that out. Only thing I HAD to change were the headlights, for some reason, the factory ones didn't even seem safe. Definately not a reason to look away. I'f you want to stick out, get a crossfire. If you wan't to blend in go for the mazda. chris

Looks like I can get a 2004-2005 XF with 20-50K mi (depending on condition and options) for around 10K. I was wondering why the car is selling so low? Is it a reliable commuter car? (average 30-40mi a day) I basically want something that I can put miles on w/o paying for any major repairs other than the normal maintenace, for at least 3-4 yrs. I REALLY like the design but haven't had a chance to test drive one yet and don't know anything about known issues or what to watch out for when buying used. I'd love to have your input!

I would concur, An SRT6 is a very fast car. They only made them in 2005 (a few in 06). They had low production numbers and have all the signs of a future collector car. I bought mine last June, it had never been sold and had a full warranty. A few simple modifications and your at 400 H.P. (at crank) and that's reliable H.P. Drive one and you'll be spoiled for anything else. My sister has a Miata, those thing are way too cramped inside. Never been in the Honda.

We had a BMW Z4 and put 60,000 miles on it. Great car while covered under BMW's Certified car warranty and not having to pay BMW for fixes and maintenance during that period.
We now have two Crossfires as daily commuters -- one auto -- one stick and they are great cars. Ride is better than the Z4, a little higher off the ground which is a good thing and for me 5'11" easier getting in an out of. Now these cars well built but not perfect - stuff happens -- so easier to sleep at night with the standard new car 3yr 36,000 mile warranty or the Chrysler Max Care warranty we have on my wife's older 2005 Crossfire Roadster.
Go for it !!
