Default Spike t.v. Horsepower segment

Anybody watch this weekends Horsepower show on Spike T.V. When they were filming in the bone yard section of this recycler of totaled vehicles, I caught a black Crossfire being hauled around on the forks of a tow motor to another location within the yard. Looked like it was totaled with a solid front end crunch. Deduct one more from the 74M total produced. SEE, our cars are slowly becoming more valuable with each wipe out. Hopefully no one was hurt of course.

There were 74 million crossfires produced? Where did you get that number at?

"M" is a common abbreviation for "thousand", "MM" would be "million". I know this is used as the standard in the printing industry when quoting prices in dollars/thousand; ie $25/M is $25 for 1,000 pieces. When talking about most things automotive, however, I agree that "K" is more commonly used to represent "thousand".

Oh, and for the record, "M" is the Roman numeral for 1,000.

I learn something new everyday even when I don't mean to.

Well then, in the spirit of learning I should also mention that "K" refers to "kilo", which also means "thousand" but is derived from the Greek "khilioi".

And now that I've bored the hell out of you, I'm outta here.
