Default $17k Otd 8x76028

Picking up 2nd XFIRE tomorrow.....8X76028 Bright Silver, Dark Slate interior Automatic, Nav......$17,000 OTD 16 miles on it....3/36 warranty only that started Dec 08. Wife happy. Instead of $30K for a Volvo C30.....this way we can keep her 06 HHR with 37,000 miles as a 3rd vehicle & use it to haul stuff.

Congrats! The economy certainly has beaten up the car industry, but the family of Crossfires finding homes keeps growing!!

With 16 miles on it, I would hope so. Unless it's one of those "Garage Queens" from the far north !!!

The 8 before the X makes it an '08 model.
My `Garage Queen' can be seen in the avitar.

Yes '08, & as far as I can tell from the VIN.....it was the 18th from the last one built. It's about 500 miles away & the question is...how many tickets will we get driving them both back to KC?

17K....I can't believe it....when I paid 23K in Dec 07 for my 6 speed Limited I felt like I was stealing it from Chrysler.....but this is over 21K off sticker..(auto & nav)..no Lifetime warranty....but at this price....what the hell!!

I approached locals to match as there are still about 20 7s & 8s left in KC area (mostly convertibles though)....their reply = " Drive carefully to Illinois. " Here they are only offering about 12K off right now in ads.

That's a great price and a great car. I paid $16.9 for a 2007 with 12k miles this summer, also from Chicago area. But it had to be a stick. I had a line on a silver 2007 roadster from a Chrysler exec but my son does not like the color and did not want a vert. I like the silver, except the faux chrome trim around the windshield and on the front quarters blends in too much.

Congratulations.

I guess if the economy did not suck so much I'd buy a 4th one...but that's also why the prices are so good (bad?).

Yeah, some people don't like the contrast of the silver trim against the darker colors like my machine gray....but I do.......she's gonna like the Bright Silver though......she laid the law down a long time ago,

Did you buy it from Duane? I bought the other one (they bought two). Mine is just like yours except it is Aero Blue with 17 miles on it. Mine is 8X075112. There were only 19 built after you Crossfire.

VQ35DE are you zq8 or Brad from that other forum....if so, it was your post that I saw & looked into before the moderator removed what you said? Yes, from Duane. Drove up yesterday...& back. There was lots of snow (snowing heavy while there).....& as such did not see a slight dent in the front quarter panel below the 3 strakes until I took it to a car wash this morning....Duane had assured me there were zero dents or scratches.....& we only stopped for gas on the 471 mile trip back, nobody ever got near it & it was in the garage all night.

Called Duane this morning (Sunday) & he says they'll pay to have it fixed after I get 2 estimates. I don't think he intentionally misled me....I just think nobody looks at a car like the owner does.

The check was for $17,010......so they got to me for $10. I've sent him an e-mail that if I don't get assurance from him by noon Monday that the owner of his dealership agrees to fix it that I will stop payment on the check!!

Other than that it is perfect!!! He did deceive me though....I was told it had 16 miles on it.....in reality....it only had 13 miles on it!!

Here's the dent & "FRED & WILMA" together.

I finally figured out how to program the Homelink (again).

Wilma is automatic with NAV.....haven't figured out the NAV thing yet. Kinda impressed with the automatic transmission.....nice to have one of each.

Yes it was me (VQ35DE & ZQ8). Did you tell Duane I did all the work for him? How big was that dealership? They hauled my car to me so I have not been there.

Dang Guys,

I thought I got a great deal for my 08 xfire from the dealership I use to work at by picking it up for $25K. I have 5 years to pay her off and I'm in the hole by what $10K I hope she is worth something in 20 years, I can't sell the car untill I can get money out of it for the cat food I'll be eating on my retirment.
Wish me luck

Christine

VQ35DE, upload the photo of our cars that Duane sent you.....maybe if the angle is just right I can prove the dent was already there.....
He's assured me they will fix it.....but ????

Hopefully yours is OK.....maybe they bumped yours into mine?

Yes, I told him you sent me.

I want to thank....(what's his name) for posting the NAV manual....this new one had the discs but not the 110 pg manual. THANKS!!!!
