$17k Otd 8x76028
Re: $17k Otd 8x76028
I broke my own rule, I should have demanded they take it indoors to a garage ...clean the snow off it & do a complete inspection......but, the internet salesman had told me "not a nick-dent or scratch".
It's really a good deal....even if I had to fix it myself...I should keep it.......it's still sitting in my garage...don't know when the truck will come.
We kinda feel like ...somebody that drove all the way to China to adopt a child....it's like abandoning a pet or something....sick-weird feeling.
I think they have "Seller's Remorse", they feel they can pay to have someone pick it up, fix it themselves & sell it for a lot more than I paid???
She's even got nitrogen in her tires.

Maaco = 1329, another major shop = 1,256......maybe I can find someone cheaper???
I bet if I look hard enough I can get done for $1K ?? That would put it at 16.4 + 1.....- $17.4K total price...sticker was >$38K. Still incredible.....like I said before, when I paid $23K a year ago for my 6 spd 07 I felt like I stole it from Chrysler.....but that does have the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty.....the sticks the one though that will get driven hard.....this one is the wife's.

That's not a bad price if they do good (great) work. My dealer did minor repairs to both my 2005s and they came out pristine. The roadster had some rear valence scratches from a bonehead who bumped me from behind: $500 to remove and repaint. My SRT6 had a damaged door handle and dent from someone trying to break in. By the time I was done, it cost $1300 to replace the handle, fix the door, strip off the clear on half the car and re-do it properly.
By the time you dink around trying to find another, if you can, it will end up costing you more.

Hi, all,
This is my first post after just joining. This is the best forum I've ever visited, BTW. You folks should be proud of yourselves.
Yesterday, I made a deal over the phone to buy a new 2007 silver Crossfire coupe. Yes, it's new even though it was assembled a year-and-a-half ago. Now I have to fly to Detroit to pay the balance and drive it home to Kentucky (but no problem). After reading about Chris's situation I think I'll give it a good lookover first.
I imagine there's interest in my deal, so here it is in a nutshell. New car, if a year old, with full 36 month bumper-to-bumper warranty plus lifetime powertrain warranty for a limited coupe with premium two-tone interior, all-season tires and auto trans (one of the few autos I have chosen, but I test drove a stick a few weeks ago and felt the clutch was kind of truck-like plus the auto actually gets better mileage according to EPA).
The price we settled on was $18,588 plus TTL. That may not be as good a deal as some, but it's the color and choices I like and these cars are kind of scarce lately. Also, it's almost exactly 50% of the MSRP, with the best warranties available (assuming Chrysler doesn't go under) so I'm not worried about a few bucks here or there. Also, I tend to buy a car and drive it forever (the Xfire is replacing an Acura Integra coupe I bought new in 1995) so it gives me reassurance that these pricey Mercedes components won't eat me alive. On the other hand, I haven't done anything to the Acura except replace the rear brake shoes, a battery, and a set of tires so I'm not real hard on cars. On top of that, I have just retired and won't be driving a great deal anyway.
I do have a few concerns about a car that's been sitting on some lot or other so long. I assume they aren't parked in the shade, so sun fading inside and out is the main one. I always garage my cars, so it's a bit painful to think of my newest and coolest having sat in the elements so long.Anyone have any suggestions as to remedial treatment?

Go to www.chrysler.com , click on Dealers in my area, put in the zip code of the dealership, find the specific dealership, look up inventory, etc.......if it's in their new inventory, you can look at the window sticker.
My wife just took the new one to work for the first time a few minutes ago.......I think I detected "Permagrin" on her face......& even on the gal she commutes to work with!!!!
