Re: Models
I do not have the Bburago.
I could never tell from the photos if it was a different casting/build than the Maisto.
I know that Solido for example is pretty much a badge name for models made by other companies.
I didn't know if Bburago had fallen to the same fate or not.
Is the Bburago different from the Maisto? If so...
Here I go again...

Re: Models
ppro,
I have both the Maisto and Bburago. They are the same exact castings but do have a few suttle differences. The Maisto was produced for US markets and the Bburago was produced for European markets I am told. I know some Bburagos made it here.
The two red coupes I have are slightly different color red. The Bburago looks more red than the real one. The Maisto has a heavy metallic in the paint - too much. The Bburago has silver colored wheels where as the Maisto has chrome wheels.
The Bburago is made in Italy, the Maisto is made in Thailand.
I just recently purchased the Bburago from Europe so I have no pics to show the comparisons.
Here is the 1:18 Maisto I have:
Then my co-worker added the difussers and I printed a tag for it.
I also own the Motormax Brand 1:18, not worth photographing...

Re: Models
Thanks James. It looked like from the pictures I have seen of the Bburago that the main difference was the finish of the wheels and body paint. Thanks for confirming that.
I think the Motor Max is interesting though would benefit from a lot of touch up work to get the fit and finish right. Worth photographing for records-sake.

It looks from your images you dabble in photography and die cast...

With eBay, I have had to be very patient because many of the sellers have these models overpriced or have them priced right with very overpriced shipping. None of these models with the exception of the Sharper Image CD-Clock-Radio should sell for more than $20 shipped.
But they are asking between $30 and $50 to your door. I ignore those sellers. Every once in a while somebody puts something up that's priced right and then I will bid (if the other bidders don't go crazy...)
I drive my family crazy because a big part of all my travels is to visit these stores and any others that might sell die cast vehicles, and try to find stuff I am looking for...
