If you find them let me know. I've been looking for one for a long time.

I see a few colors I have not found. Would you care to say what the manufacturer is for each? I recognize a couple, most look like Maisto but I just haven't seen some of those colors.

Paul,

I briefly looked over your website you posted. When I saw your name, it sounded so familar. I am sure we have met or made some trade deals in years past. I only collect Crossfires and Hot Wheels.

Here are my displays http://current.net/james1549/

Paul, I am curious where you came up with this car? It was my understanding it was never released. James

All I can say is WOW. I am impressed. BUT, you are a sick puppy. Do they have meetings for your addiction? How may models do you actually have? You have more than a small fortune wrapped up in these little babies.

I am sure that you are easy to get Xmas and birthday presents for though. LOL

You're right - it never was...

I got it in a trade from someone who had an inside track and had a couple. P.S. I was sworn to secrecy but no matter because I have forgotten - though it's probably on one of my archive disks...

It's quite possible. I do recall when I was very active on Compuserve there was a James who I traded with quite a bit, always a very fair trades, prompt shipping, everything always as promised. Looking at your collection it looks a lot like mine! You obviously found my die cast site (http://whitemetal.com) and the pictures (http://whitemetal.com/thread/index.htm) so maybe that rings a bell?

I really like what you've done with your collection - nice cases and great photography.

All I can say is WOW and I mean WOW!!!! Next time we get to Cinn,We have to see this.I see you have a 30-32 ford? But I am wrong by saying no 29 model A(streetrod)? or 33 dodge. I know they make a 29 truck but not a sedan. I looked for years when I had my 29 model A streetrod and was told they did not make one,Not even in a plastic model. Please correct me if I wrong. Again WOW! ,Joanna & Allen

Paul, The reason I ask about that car is that maybe it came from me!

Somehow I came up with a contact at Unical and bought several cases of their promo HW cars every year and sold them to guys on the internet where Union 76 stations were not located.

THe third year I went to place my order the guy informed me that they changed from HWs to another manufacturer. The company, RC, sent six preproduction approval pieces. During the same time, Unical cut the program due to budget financial problems. He offered to send me the six cars he had in his desk.

He told me it was the only six he knew of and they never went into production. I traded some, and kept 2 of them and still have them today.

I think you're right. That sounds vaguely familiar. I still have mine too. And a graphic that was floating around at that time. Small world huh?

I didn't - as my site says I am still looking. They were made by Sharper Image but discontinued. When they show up on eBay they sell for a couple hundred dollars and many have been incomplete or not working...
