Default bumper guard

Ok so, some jacka$$ decided to drop something on or bang into my rear bumper while carying something and didn't have the cajones to leave a card or something. The one day I decided to drive my car to work this had to happen. Yes, I parked in a private parking garage way down at the end where nobody was... well, so I thought. The result of this jacka$$'s work was a small nick in the bumper all the way down to the black plastic. Whatever this person did, took a chunk of the plastic out. I tried several times to build it up with touch up paintand polish it down, but it still looks like crap and is even worse because after adding and removing some touch-up mistakes, the original paint actually came off even further. So, my question is this: have any of you had to have your bumper repainted? I had it done on the front of my G35 Coupe, and it only cost about 160. It looked awesome and was done by some guy at the dealership that traveled around to dealerships fixing small scratches and stuff. If you've had it done on your car, did you get it done at a Chrysler dealership or do you recommend going outside? If you've had this done, how much did it cost? I live in the DC area if you know of any good dealerships or shops. Just trying to determine if it's even worth it. It's small, but I'm a perfectionist and it is really bugging me.

Thanks

I will do the same! Hey, maybe we can get a two-for deal!

You are right about DC. My wife and I just moved here about 7 months ago and we play a game to see who can spot a vehicle without a dent! Luckily I take the Metro to work most of the time because I had to sell my DD due to space limitations.

I have a guy but he's in Rockville, Md., does paintless dent repair. He did my door dings and the work was flawless and quick. His number is at work so I will follow up with you tomorrow. Because it took a chunk out I'm not sure this guy can help, at least he can aim you in the right direction. Be back with you tomorrow, Monday.

I've used paintless dent repair on all my vehicles and would recommend it to anyone; however, the bumper guards are plastic, so PDR doesn't work. My paint is the problem, it's missing at the nick!

Thanks though.

I also have used paintless dent repair. It's worth every penny! But it will not work on the bumper, its plastic. The paintelss dent repair only works on sheet metal.

I also have a big scrape on my front bumper! I was in NY city eating at a restaurant at the window watching my car. When I saw a man in his work van back right into my car as it was parked!!! I ran out and caught him! Thank god I was there watching my srt-6! Ultimately he paid me in CA$H for the bump. It seems that he was involved in two other accidents that same day, and when I said I was calling the police he offered to give me cash.BTW he spoke very little English and drove as bad as his English) .. So I took the cash, paid down the car, and I still have the scrape in the bumper!

What can you do!!!
