LOL.....sorry, I deal with stupid every day of the workweek!

I offer the following story as an example.......

About 2 years ago I was sent on a consulting gig to a Company in Alabama that shall remain unnamed. By trade, I'm a welding and robotics consultant. I showed up to said company with a bag of tools and immediately asked one of the supervisors if a shipment arrived that I had sent there. The "supervisor" replied that it had showed up and proceeded to show me the way over to it. I proceed to open the box, which contained welding consumable items and 2 big boxes marked "ER70S Superarc Welding Wire". The following conversation ensued......(BTW, I speak northern, while the "supervisor" spoke redneck!)....

me - Thanks.... I'll get right to installing this after I give the robots a check-up.

him - Allwight......wawt's in the bawx?

me - wire

him - right dare

me - wire

him (after moving closer to the box and pointing) - right dare

me - WIRE

him (after putting his finger on the box where it says "wire") - dis one

me - WIRE....for the welders!

him - Oh......ya didn't hafta yell!

By this time I just wanted to scream......all I could think is "it's going to be a long week!"


I run into more people on a daily basis that make me wonder if the human gene pool needs a lifeguard.

His "you can't fix stupid " show was just on Comedy Central last night my wife and I watched it. It was pretty good.

 

throw my boss in there with the stupid people, he can't help but lie about the stupidest thinbs, like his son's stock dodge stealth has 400 hp, or that a cigarette lighter will explode with the same energy as a stick of dynamite(he said a guy he knew was welding and that his lighter exploded and opened a hole in his chest where his heart just fell right out there on a table and he died right there)

 

damn lighters....

 

And this guy's runnin' the the show? What do you guys do, build choppers? "hey Mikey yuh didn put da damn nut on da dam bolt, and be sure yuh use da sparky ting on da gas welda"

 

It's ok to make fun of them, but the ACLU would get upset if we tried to inhibit their right to be stupid.

Your comment got me nervous so I checked the receipt;
oil: 0W40
quantity: 9........... Nine??? WTH!! They must round up.

 

Yes, they charge for nine, but they only put 8.5 in. (if they know what they're doing)
If they do alot of oil changes on Crossfires, those 1/2 qts. add up, and eventually they have enough oil saved up to do an oil change with no (out of pocket) expenses.

 

Yeh! go back and ask for that half a quart in a doggy bag. Have some video running. Should make for some fun viewing.

 

Experiences like this were what led me to buy tools, factory service manuals, and do the work myself. No more rants about stupid people. Well at least, not with regard to dealers doing my oil change for me....

 

That is one very shiney Crossfire you have there. Was that new or did you just detail it like crazy?

 

The pictures show the car the first day I got it, after I detailed it. But that's pretty much how it always looks.
