Taken from Dan Root's web site:
"AMG Style Custom Side Skirts: Our customer guarantee is that you can return your item within 10 days of receipt for any reason as long as it is returned in original packaging and you pay for all shipping, original shipping fees are non-refundable. If you cancel within 10 days from ordering, a 25% cancellation fee will be applied. Products are non-refundable if altered in any way. It is recommended that the part be prepped and installed by a professional body shop that has experience working with aftermarket fiberglass body kits including but not limited to sanding, shaving, cutting, and filling. Extra fees may be incurred for proper fitment. Refunds will not be issued to minor fitment issues. These side skirts are for off road and show use only.
What does this mean "off road and show only" that they're not guaranteed if you drive the car while the skirts are on it? What if you just turn the ignition on? Does it count if you don't turn the ignition put it in neutral and roll down the driveway?
Can Dan be trying to say "off road" as in ORV? I can't imagine a Crossfire screaming down a power line behind a few motorcycles. Clearly only a roadster could do that as one needs to be able to stand up to let the wheels (ha ha all 4 of them) dance over the sand so you don't fall down.
If you do find damage, please physically write 'damaged' on the delivery bill. You will then accept the shipment as is, and notify us immediately.
Overlooking the obvious (that you would have already "accepted the shipment" in order to have found the damage) what a bizarre thing to say to your customers.
We may ask for pictures to verify damage has occurred. In the instance major damage, we will file a damage claim and ship you new parts as soon as they are available. If minor damage has occurred, we will ship replacements once the damage claim is won."
Who decides minor or major? Then you have to wait for Dan to quickly handle the claim so it will be won? By then trail riding season will be over and I will have lost the "best in show" because I didn't have "AMG Style Custom Side Skirts wow Great Check Them Out!"

I am a little concerned about Dans post really The guy is a stand up D BAG I wish the world to crash down on him. Not only did he drop the price to screw you, he has replacement good sets while we hang on to Junk, he is offering refunds to everyone ACCEPT THE PEOPLE WHO FING PAID FOR THEM, All the while well turning a profit.
NO doubt our solution is going to void his bull $hit guarantee.
I am headed to the Bars to blow off some steam when I come back I will do the write up. Prepare for a long email/PM. I am not posting the how to on here, those you received the skirts AT A DISCOUNT From his site are on there own. Do you agree ???

Please do send out the write up tonight or first thing in the morning, I don't suppose there's any reason the first few of us couldn't have these in hand this week, correct?
Re: AMG SLK STYLE Side Skirts for the crossfire
Definitely PM the instructions because you know somebody or Dan himself will steal them and put them on his site.
secondly how are we going to get non damaged skirts? I thought they were all damaged and Dan isn't taking them back? Or am I mistaken.
Either way Since I came up with this entire thing with my photoshop and proposal I should get the first non damaged pair.
C'mon bhays and borian, lets fight. LOL

Re: AMG SLK STYLE Side Skirts for the crossfire
well if we go by first on the list I guess I'm screwed since I'm last on the list. Hopefully he got so driunk at the bar last night he'll look at the listed upside down and I'll be first.

LOL-
At least your still positive, that's gotta move you up the list a few.....
Re: AMG SLK STYLE Side Skirts for the crossfire
Does it feel like you are being strung along? In other words, just when all of you are fed up and are about to unite to stand together as a group and say:
"all of us get a quality product as ordered and promised or no one will"
(accept a pair while another forum member either gets a bad pair or nothing at all) just when your at that point your told something that makes you all excited and then:
Now Frank he's screwed no matter what! How ya doing there, sitting down much these days?

you start elbowing each other over who gets a pair and when?
My point here is as each of you break away from the group and don't stand together, the number of dissatisfied people becomes smaller and smaller. I would think that is what a dishonest business person(s) is hoping for. As a large group any legal action is much easier, but for a small group you'll give up and he will keep your money-you won't have skirts or a pair of crap skirts. Hard call but your already out the $500 so why not put the screws to a person (s) who are counting on you giving up or counting on you to look out for yourself before another member. Now Frank he's screwed no matter what! How ya doing there, sitting down much these days?
Re: AMG SLK STYLE Side Skirts for the crossfire
^^^I've already emailed Dan and gotten no response. I have said if I can get a set of undamaged skirts that fit correctly I will still take them. If they are not then I will not. Simple.
Doesn't change that Dan is still going to get sued by somebody. But I understand your point.

Re: AMG SLK STYLE Side Skirts for the crossfire
I stated that I needed an undamaged set of skirts on my doorstep by this Friday and I am sticking to my guns as well. There is still time for that to happen.
