Re: Supercharger or Turbo....
SRT's are the easiest way to go BUT...
If interested in doing the Turbo thing, Theres a guy in Salt Lake I was working with to build a design for my Limited. Plus he's been working on a rear under bumper design for the Crossfire. And if your talking horse power, he and I discussed basicly "name how much you want". If you are serious have alot of money (about 14-17 grand) give Joe Loftus a call at STS and tell him Mike Loftus in Great Falls, Montana sent you to finish what we began. In all honesty what we had planned for my 04' would have blown my SRT with it's 22lbs of boost, into next week and not even breathed hard. This is not an exageration!

It gives me a hard on when I think of my base 6-speed coupé with a twin turbo set-up running 22lbs of boost. That is just crazy. Almost unbelievable... not that I do not believe you. If I was not a broke *** college student... I'd try anything and everything to find out how to twin turbo my Crossfire. Just imagine the screaming BOVs... I think I would be almost afraid of my own car
I would love to meet an SRT-anything on a straight free-way and him/her thinking I was just a little base coupé. (with 22 lbs!!!) Just nuts! No disrespect to SRTs, of course! We'd pull over and I'd show the goods lol.
But obviously with 22lbs of boost, you are talking serious internal modifications to the engine. I would like more information on what you were thinking of accomplishing though, Mike.

If you can do it and make the car reliable then that is great but it is an expensive route to take.

Hope we meet up on that straight free-way someday!...
Re: Supercharger or Turbo....
Here's a good start for ya. At least with this you will have a chance of the engine holding up to all of that power.

Plus, in the end... when you finally cross the excruciating threshold of expenses... you end up with a one of a kind car you can be proud of. And since I will have my Masters in Mechanical Engineering pretty shortly... I will virtually be able to model and create my own parts... which will definitely help.

My point: Just do what you are happy doing.
