Those are the cheapest prices I've seen around here...

It's just so nice to see these prices come down so far! I guess the industry made such a killing that they have enough to hold them over for awhile before jacking them up again. l

You guys think you got it bad? Down here in Australia just weeks ago we were paying $1.65 per ltr for 92 octane I run my crossfire on 98 octance it was around $1.78AUD per ltr. I know you guys work on gallons but it works out a hell of a lot more expensive in Australia

I think that's good to hear as I'll be in Hawaii in 2 months. I am thinking about staying on the Big Island. Any recommendations with regard to hotel accomodations?

Bought 91 octane this evening for $2.39. Nice not to have to spend $50 and still not fill the tank completely.

Avondale, AZ checkin' in here. I filled up the Jeep at 1.799$/gal. Crossfire gas would be 1.999$/gal. Too bad the Crossfire's in storage in Delaware. But QuikTrip only offers up to 91 octane, no 93+

It's all about margins per gallon. They can reduce their profit margin on the regular gas because the quanitity sold is much higher. They have to keep their margins high on the good stuff because it doesn't sell as much.

Its like asking why there are $10 and $50 dollar bottles of whiskey when they get you drunk all the same. It's because the $50 bottle has a smaller market it appeals too.

Everyone seems amazed at the current prices of gas. Less then 2 years ago everyone was so bummed out when they were hitting $2/gallon. Now everyone has been sucked into believing how cheap gas prices are now.

As soon as the econmy starts to pick up, you will see the gas prices go up. I believe the decrease is very politically motivated. The screws are being tighted down on the producers of pertroleum.

Think of how many products are pertroleum based. All Plastics, rubber ect. Greed is a terrible thing. How much money is too much money being made by the oil producing countries and companies?

Here is a question for you.

Is the cost of oil causing the world wide economic collapse?

A buck fifty two for 87 here in St louis today.
One dollar and sixty seven for high test.

And my crossfire is full of $ 2.10 stuff. Bummer.

I guess I'll just have to drive it some more to get the tank empty.
Then i can take advantae of the sale price eh?

Any chance you remember the movie Rollover? Chris Kristoferson and Hanoi Jane.

Isn't it a coincedence that the last two years have seen the price of gas soar? Congress did nothing but mandate Ethanol which tripled food prices.

Now that the Republicans are out of office, the masses are being appeased. Well, sort of.

I doubt it will last. hope I'm wrong

IMO, oil isn't the root of the problem we're experiencing ... it's a contributing factor ...
