Gas In My Area
Re: Gas In My Area
Now that gas is down to as low as $1.89 per gallon, the big question is exactly why and how long will these prices last? Is it a lack of demand or an oversupply, or is it that the speculators are no longer driving up the price of a barrel of oil? Maybe all of the above?
I sure see plenty of cars on the road. I think that demand is probably way down in Asia because of all of the things that are made there we aren't buying in the quantities that we used to. I think unemployment must be much greater in China than it is here.
Brian, who is the slick dude in the Mohawk picture? It looks like his jeans are so stiff they would stand by themselves. He must be a biker from the "Wild One" Marlin Brando era.

A local grocery store now has the deal where you buy X amount of groceries and you get a savings on gas at the local Sunoco station. My son in Ohio has been doing this for a few years and the concept just came to this part of NY. I saved 80 cents a gallon last night and filled up the tank in the XF for $26 @ $2.07 per gal.

It pisses me off that NJ is SOOO much cheaper, so that's where I go... If I'm close.
I've always wanted to figure it out if the price difference is worth the extra miles to get it. Math is quite boring.
