Unhappy Need Help w/ decision to purchase a Xfire

Hopefully, by Monday I will have made a decision on purchasing an 04 Xfire. Why would this be a bad choice? Or Not?

Additional Info: 2004, 18.6k miles, $15K, coupe.

Specifics needed. Such as asking price, miles, coupe or roadster, etc. I would suggest the roadster with M/T, but I'm biased!

A VERY GOOD DECISION!!!
I traded a 1979 Triumph Spitfire I got in '81 with
only 34K & don't miss it, & MINT, show winner.
I LOVE my Crossfire, I'll have it 1 year on the 28th.
BEST CAR I EVER OWNED, Lots of fun!

haha, asking people on a forum dedicated to crossfires isn't the best place to get unbiased opinions. I was about to say the same thing

I agree with the SRT choice. There was one selling for $13900 recently. For $2k more than what you are ready to pay I got a SUPER clean SRT with extended warranty. Put your money in your pocket and shop around, their out there.

i wouldn't do it. i regretted buying my crossfire after a few months, its a nice car, but i thought the quality wasn't there. I had more creaks and squeaks than you can imagine, everyday it was something else annoying me, i had a 05 roadster. And the aftermarket scene isn't there imo if thats what you are into. Dont get me wrong its a nice car. but just glad im out of it now!! and also i hated how the traction control can not be fully turned off, basically its always on and sucks. most of the interior is plastic on plastic which causes all the noises and if you are tall or big i def. would drive one and see how it fits you, cause there is not too much room, especially roadster.

ive never been in a srt-6 like i said i had a 05 n/a 6spd. roadster, the srt-6 seems to have plenty of power unlike the na which is great but i am not into a automatic and thats what they all are, if you are that is a much better choice than the n/a but if you want standard n/a is only choice for a crossfire.

and its all on your choice and preference but i myself along with alot of people don't like the coupe, i think the back end is way to rounded off like they forgot to finish it, the roadster i like much more in the looks department. and i also like the n/a look over the srt-6 but its your opinion. i would just drive more cars than a crossfire and compare. it was a waste of time for me having it.

GET THE SRT, if you can find one. 115 hp increase. I just lost a 97 cobra to a drunk driver. after driving the 215 version for a month, I really want to upgrade. They can be hard to find depending where your at. A little more ***** would greatly help the base engine

I can not say if a 04 coup at $15 K is a deal or not but I will say that my Crossfire is one of the best cars that I have ever owned, both in the quality of the car and the endless smile that it puts on my face every time I drive it. [Comparison to Ford's Chrysler's GM's and a BMW]
Admittedly it is not for any one that needs a trunk and a way to move kids around nor some one that needs the most economical car going.
It is a fun toy but it is a fantastic fun toy.
